Default Metro-North New Haven Line Update....Almost Done.

Geez it's been ages since I've posted here. The New Haven Line route project has been very much active though. You've probably seen updates from Michael Kurras, who has been a huge contributor to this route for the past year. I have to admit, it took so long to finish everything in and around New York alone. I was worried I would never be able to release a complete route, but alas it's almost done. 90% of the scenery done and the rest is easy. Michael and I have come up with a plan that should get this route out by August 15th. There are many more small details I can improve for sure, but I can spend forever working on them and I figure that updates can be made as needed. With that said, here are some screenshots of recent work, which includes a very nice version of Penn Station from Michael. More screenshots will be posted in this thread later this week by either me or Michael as final scenery is created.

Are the platforms at Penn Station prototypical length? I only ask because as great as the PRR-ER is, the platforms at New York Penn Station are way too short in length.

This is terrific! I am excited about this route. I'm excited to run some Metro-North, some New Haven! I can see already this is going to be good.

Thank you for sharing the fruits of all your work! I hope you've enjoyed the process.

Very good job you guys! Thanks for posting! Looking forward to see them in no time.. Looks perfect from my hometown state to run Conrail locals... So is this the route from New York towards New Haven, correct? I was born and raised in New London County, so I have lived P&W's mainline (Norwich Branch) like 20 steps from my parents backyard.. and the Shore Line.. (a mile down) near Groton Tower. Brings back memories..

    Thanks again..

Thank you Murjax and Michael for creating the Metro North New Haven Line for MSTS. I am looking forward to running the route when you are ready to release it.

Nice job!!! I grew up a couple of blocks from the New Haven line and remember vividly watching the parade of GG1s, EP5s, FL9s, and washboards running by (I know, earlier era - before the raised platforms, etc) at the So. Norwalk station when I was a youngster. The MN era came along in my teens and I followed it until I went north in the mid to late eighties. Thank you for posting the shots - I look forward to more.

As of 3:30 AM EST - I have completely finished all scenery in New York State, which leaves only work in Connecticut to be done in a few isolated areas - This makes the route almost exactly 90% complete, with all stations but New Haven modeled and placed, and just trees and houses in between needing to be polished off. Recently I decided to modify my own track texture to use in lieu of the not-so-great track texture, now the route has a prototypical color ballast, and if any of you have been keeping up with the update videos on YouTube, you would have noticed that Harlem 125th Street Station was floating I managed to dedicate some time to removing the poorly made viaduct and making my own which is more visible than the previous one, and the final major change is I am toying around with using the vivid KOSMOS environment library for the sky, water and weather textures.

Pictures of all the aforementioned improvements are attached below
