Back on topic, another narrow gauge route which looks quite interesting is the old "Puggy Line" aka Lochaber Narrow Gauge Railway...

...though I fear with gradients of up to 1 in 25 none of the existing ng traction available in RW (with the possible exception of the Durango stuff) could cope with those gradients.
Well I have just had a confirmation email from RSC Support that there are no plans to re-release Project Platform/Phorum Peninsula. So there you have it - anyone planning doing a route that uses resources from this add-on, needs to be aware that anyone not already owning it will be unable to get it. (With the caveat that Derek mentioned earlier he is trying to get permission to host some of the items on his own site).
Thats is one line I would love to see built in a sim Vern, it really fascinates me and I would of loved to have seen it for real when it was in full working order.
I have walked some of the track bed and have also purchased a book all about it, interesting reading.
As you say though without the proper traction it would not be worth building it, shame.
Don't forget the excellent G-TraX Durango to Silverton NG route !
However, interest in NG routes is limited, there not being many available, mainly single-tracks with limited rolling stock.
My favorite is the UK South Wales http://www.festrail.co.uk/main.shtml I have traveled on to the slate mines years ago.

Now it may mean nothing at all but, while 15" is not a substitute for full size narrow gauge of between 2'0" and 3'6", such a route could open up lots of possibilities for projects outside the RHDR. In the UK we also have the Ravenglass & Eskdale plus various estate railways that were built to this gauge over the years. In the US there is Train Mountain in Oregon which, while I know is 7" gauge, 15" would not go amiss.
So I for one would be quite happy to see RSC build this, as something a bit different.
