  • Installing MSTS In Windows 7 Or Later

Here is Part-1 of how to install it from its CDs:

Here is Part-2 of what to do after having installed MSTS from its CDs, making sure that all of the MSTS folders have been set to allow Full Administrator Rights and have been flagged READ/WRITE, adding MSTSBin, X-Tracks and other essential add-ons many more recent routes require to run:

      Hello,

I am trying to install Indian Routes and Locos to MSTS referring a lot of Videos posted fro m youtube, but nothing seems to be working as i find that most of the related packages downloaded from trainsim and irfca only end up to be corrupt and useless. Please can you guide me through your knowledge on the installation of custom routes.

Any help provided will be highly appreciated.

After lot of youtubing, I could install the MSTS Train Simulator (which has Europe, USA, Japan routes and the Acela Express, Goldsdorf, Kiha, etc) as default.

Now I want to install the Indian routes and trains in it. What should I do?

When I open 'Open Rails' then nothing is showing interface like your 'Open Rails' interface. Routes, Locomotives, Activity, Consist, Starting at, Heading to everything is blank. Now what should I do? Please tell me how to solve this problem. Please reply me.

  • Properly Install Third-Party Applications for OpenRails and MSTS
    by eric

Running the Microsoft / Open Rails Train Simulator is a little different from other simulators, in that there are a lot of options available for add-ons (over 30,000 in our library alone), as well as companion applications that are used to create routes, activities and even new models. Adding to the complexity, some of these applications date back to 2001, when MSTS was first introduced. The Windows operating system has changed quite a bit since then, and as a result, the way older app install...
