IMHO, the lighting in Harold's pictures are the best I've seen in Trainz. To my eyes, his pics don't look "cartoonish". (All previous versions of Trainz did have a somewhat of a "cartoonish" look to it.)

Harold (hminky) has often been one of the sternest critics of Trainz throughout the years. Although not always agreeing with his comments, I have often admired his honesty and forthright approach. In fact, critical commentary is one of the main motivating factors tha has helped drive us to keep making Trainz better and better.

Just call them how I see them, nice to be able to do that.

Don't say anything bad on a Railworks forum, remember being banned a long time ago from RWA for bad mouthing Donner on this forum.

The new offering will need to simulate functional realism before I'll buy it.

You must be flavour of the month at N3V towers then Harold. I got a life ban from the fanboi dribblers forum, for speaking my mind in regards the lack of realism in Trainz.

I think they only keep taking me on to beta test, to keep me quiet. What's the saying.......... "keep your friends close and your enemies closer".

When I tried that Warwick to Wallangarra route I was wishing I could turn the haze up far enough that I couldn't see how bad everything looked.

This will be the perennial problem with TRS2019. Toy-like objects and garish textures from 2004 trying to sit in an enhanced graphics engine.

The assets can always be upgraded, the NZ houses come across well.





The environment has to be adjusted, N3V has a poor artistic eye.

It is for people who might be interested in Trainz who come here by chance.

That is why I can slag N3V, I show the game when it is good and complain when the game is bad.

Gotta show the game.

Still the best train game because the community can script new stuff.
