From the follow on discussion at the N3V forum, appears most of the GWR locos and rolling stock items bundled with the Cornish route are ~TRS2006 era complete with original modelling and texturing errors. So much for "new" content!

Content creation is more difficult because Blender doesn't support the PBR system Trainz uses, but it is Trainz we are talking.
Have went back to TANE SP1. Supports CMTM, CarTagger, no-DRM and the Speedtrees I use on legacy routes look good.
Lose Raildriver but without CMTM and CarTagger have no reason to open Trainz up.
Doesn't look all that bad.
In TANE the sun doesn't look like everywhere is southern Sudan, when I said "WOW" at the beginning of TRS2019 a good look could be achieved.
Now we are stuck with the present bleached look.

I must admit you get a lot of locos and rollingstock with the Cornish route, it now takes me five minutes longer searching through all the GWR and BR stuff for a route I used once. It's a pity the Niddertalbahn and Sebino Lake routes didn't come with as much. The opening screen for Sebino Lake directs users to go to the Trainzitalia website for more DLC for the route but when you do that you can't even see what DLC they have without registering, and guess what, when you try to register you are told they are not accepting new registrations. I's love to see if they have some more suitable passenger cars for the route and era than the vintage wooden bodied orient express that comes with it.
I actually like the appearance of Trainz, maybe it's because I live in Australia but I've always thought the other sims weren't 'sunny' enough.

The GWR locos aren't too bad (at least they seem to consume coal and water) but I read elsewhere some of the passenger coaches have shape errors which were never corrected. Certainly no criticism towards the original authors of these freeware items who no doubt did their best, it's N3V's self appropriation off the DLS without a thought as to suitability or any updating required before passing them off as new payware content, that sticks in the throat.Vern.

Too much sun is not good for you alvinkathage.
That is what N3V do though Vern.
The DLS is their bottomless pit of useable content.
As far as i am concerned, they give a whole new meaning to "what is yours, is all mine".
Trainz could have been so good, if it had been taken in the right direction.
But N3V naused it all up.

Well this thread at the N3V "Church" went downhill fast...
Auranites out in force telling those who don't like it, not to let the door hit them etc... Tony must be really happy to have such a loyal fan base promoting his product, at that rate the next version of Trainz will be sold to a closed group of 200 people for $10k each (and still won't have vacuum brakes, timetable operation or AI signalling/routing of the player train).Vern.

Now that I know that TRS2019 has nothing for me I am relieved.
No tense waiting for TRS2019 killing another thing I use.
Back to TANE SP1 and route building.
TANE SP1 supports all I will ever use.
Glad the waiting for updates is over.
Contrary to popular belief I really love Trainz, the game coulda been a contender.
Dead enders unite.
