I've had to ask a couple of questions on the developer side of things over at the Trainz forum and I'm getting answers, and good ones at that, pretty fast.

Some people take things more personally than others. I know that doesn't make them perfect in the business world (because they should learn from constructive criticism, and learn to ignore the trolls and the haters). But there is another side of that and that is the annoying expectations of the consumer.

It's called buyer beware as well as software being sold as is. Expecting fixes to bugs is one thing (not all bugs are easy to find or fix).

Personally I don't have any issue of the Trainz team only because I've never really had an issue with Trainz 2019. Yet I don't personally run Trainz because I have other things I like to do.

That makes as much sense as my saying that I don't have an issue with the blokes at the Honda dealership because I've never really had an issue with my Civic, preferring to leave it in the garage because I have other means of transportation.

So am I, Chris. This is my third Honda (October 2012) in 50+ years.....Honda N600 "Scamp" in 1967; first of the Civics in 1975. Never had a problem.

Honda and other Japanese cars. Were far more reliable here in the UK. Than UK models, from the early 1970's onwards.

In regards N3V and DTG. They are not railway people. They both make games with a railway theme. They have no care or feeling for realism or the finer details.

Thanks Mike, I had forgotten about this thread. Yeah, I agree. I find it gets into a grind if I end up on a project I'm not to keen on. I got with a game dev that was building an alien game and for the characters I was excited to build them. But then I got into building a spaceship and it didn't interest me. Probably because this company was just getting into 3D gaming and the resources they kept giving me were terrible.

We here have two Hondas, a 2004 Odessey that runs great still. You can turn it on and be right next to it and hardly hear it running. A few times at stop lights I came close to turning the ignition I thought it cut off on me. And we have a Honda 2004 CRV that runs excellent still too. I love the Hondas.

I've driven a lot of makes though but if I get a good one I keep it till it just has to go.

I've just done a name search over in the N3V Forums. Yes, you have been busy. I see that you also mention a new railroad you are working on. Will it be full of your usual high quality custom content, or material built-in and from the Download Station?

My abilities in creating content is limited (well, actually zero) so I'm forced to use content by others in my routes and layouts. I uploaded this video last night (full screen / 1080p or 1440p):

I'm now in the painful process of attempting to prepare it as DLC and put it into the assessment system. Trust me, it is very painful. The alternative would be for me to establish my own site, but in all honesty I can't be bothered doing that.

Phil I've watched all your YouTube videos over the last year or two and find them very evocative.. I love the expansive detailed scenery on those layouts. Thank you for sharing.

DLC i would say is payware. DLS is the free repository Bruce.

I was only surmising Bruce. Anyway Trainz gone again here, had a lovely route installed (WeddinNSW Lachlan Lines).

Then all of a sudden the track i downloaded with the route from the DLS. Comes up full of faults and no visible track in the route.

I can't be dealing with that all the time. Bad enough with some routes hunting for non DLS dependencies.

But stuff on the DLS should be fault free.

Typical. I hear you on the DLS crap. It's the second reason I ditched Trainz. And good grief.. When I messed with it, I had to go websites very unsecure, some in countries under Russian influence. I don't think access to some of these sites will work with the war in Ukraine going on.
