            Nice shots!

You might wanna use the snow-covered roof version of the South Upton Tower. You can get it here: http://trainz.luvr.net/projects-view.php?pid=533

              Altoona

I have the attention span of a flea.....
Instead of continuing to work on my NS/CSX Ohio layout I decided to make a mini layout of Altoona, PA on the NS (ex-CR) Pittsburgh Mainline. It is only going to be the area directly around Altoona, not including the Juniata shops or Horseshoe Curve. It will have reverse loops on each end to turn trains. I will be working on this instead of my Ohio layout for the time being so I have no idea when I will get either released....here are some early shots. JP

                Altoona

After some thought I have decided to include Horseshoe Curve. The route runs from CP Homer (MP 234) to CP Benny (MP 246.3). It is not to scale and doesn't have any grades....yet, but it does include Altoona Yard, CP Alto, CP Slope, and CP MG. For those of you not familiar with the Pittsburgh Line CP Homer is at the east end of Altoona Yard and CP Benny is where "The Slide" begins (CP Benny is about 3 miles east of the summit. As you can probably tell the shots the route will be set in the late fall/early winter. Here are some more screens. Enjoy. JP

All the track is done. I decided to do up to West Gallitzin and included both the tunnels. I should have it done and released some time in the next week or so. Here are some more screens....JP

                    Altoona

I decided two days ago to do the entire layout in early fall too, so there will be two versions of the layout (snow covered and not). Thanks to Tom for the link to the snow-covered roof version of South Upton Tower, I added it yesterday. All thats left is redoing the track around the tunnels at Gallitzin so it is more prototypical. Here are some screens of the non-snow route. Thanks always for the comments. JP

                      Altoona

After neuman released his color PRR position signals I had to add them to my route. I also added Cresson. I'm about this close to finishing. Here are some more teasers...enjoy. JP

                        Finall uploaded!

After redoing the Horseshoe Curve area to make it more prototypical I finally got around to uploading the Pittsburgh Line to the DLS. It should be available in the next day or two. I plan on releasing my other general CSX/NS interchange route shortly. Here is a some screen of the curve. I had to use a PRR boxcar instead of the actual locomotive that sits there, but oh well.
