I didn't either at the time, Mike, but I enjoyed what "Sir Gibby" had put into the route.
He updated it to "Murchison 2" and it can be run on all Trainz versions up to TS2012.

The Class 46 used to haul one of the commuter trains which I could catch when living in the Blue Mts, Mike. They used to be fettled at times just down the road at Valley Heights, where there was a roundhouse. That depot is now a museum, I believe.

A 46 was hauling the "Summit" (Lithgow to Sydney) when the Granville Disaster (as it came to be known) occurred in 1977.
We (wife and I) were on our regular train which preceded the Summit and our over-the-road neighbour, who normally caught that train, was sick that day and didn't go to work.
The carriage in which he always travelled was crushed under the bridge and if he'd been on the train he would have died.

Old memories come flooding back seeing that image above.

Misunderstanding Bruce, i meant no interest in the tv proggie about KiwiRail. As i believe that their rail network is narrow gauge.

Murchison and Murchison 2 i owned buddy. I think it was either the route was payware or the route was free and customers paid for the scenery. Cannot remember, it's a long time back As you rightly say it was very well done.

Hi Bruce, lovely info on the 46's and your experience with them. Horrific crash buddy and you might have had the same experience if your own train had derailed instead. Fate is a weird thing, your neighbour being oh so lucky not to have gone to work.

The piccies of the crash certainly bring home, how devastating it all was. No excuse for poor track maintenance either Bruce.

              Mike.

Bruce can you tell me please, is this Class 423 in the following piccies fictional. I cannot find any info about NSW 423's, only 422's and 442's.

                Mike.

Yes, there is a Class 423, Mike, but not in the livery shown in the screenies.
Here's information on it and you'll note that they were rebuilt from the Class 1502.

Yep...back in the day they decided that due to the mountainous terrain (and maybe the small size of the country?!! ) they'd opt for 3'-6" instead of standard gauge.

Nice one Bruce and thank you very much for the 423 link (unavailable at mo, too many connections).

I will try again later, much appreciated buddy.

Fair play in regards the NZ rail gauge. It does make sense, for a small mountainous country.

                      Mike.

Bruce the 423 on that site is not the NSW 423 car body diesel in my piccie. It is a QR hood diesel buddy, but thanks.

Late last night discovered that v1.3 Cornish Railways had been released. The only UK route worth installing in Trainz, in my opinion.

Better depiction of the route, than in any of the other train games, again in my opinion.

Ugh, Japanese Knotweed with ironing board seats at Penzance.

But the route looks very nice!

Sorry, Mike. I thought you were referring to that blunt-nosed thing and not the streamlined unit....on which it was difficult to see the number.

                            That is fictional.

The NSWGR never ran double-cab locos in that (streamlined at each end) format.
It looks like a Victorian Railways 'B' Class unit that has been incorrectly liveried as a NSW unit.

Hahahahahahaha, HST in the right hand platform Vern.

Route is excellent and i have to say that newer assets in TRS19 & TRS22. Really do look good and better graphically than TS2022 (Classic).

Oh well, delete that one. I do not do fictional

                                Thanks Bruce.
