Uuuummmmmmmm sorry Bruce i made such a mess of my install. Putting routes in taking them out, downloading from the DLS. Then deleting them i have started again afresh. Just started putting some payware routes back in, will let you know buddy. No freeware this time, no chasing dependencies.
I’ve been dividing my time between TSW and Run 8 but despite buying that freight stock keep finding myself drawn back to Trans Pennine and either the Class 45 or the DMU which is definitely becoming a favourite. For some reason Run 8 has become a bit choppy whereas TSW is running nice and smooth, apart from the odd loading pause.
That's interesting Mike. I'm not going to pay full price for TS2022, but if it runs better than 19 I may give it a punt once the Steam version gets a price drop.
I have a feeling R8 is choppy because of all those consists that get loaded in with the session I chose. Probably start over and just put the handful of trains in there I actually want. But for all I like the A-Line and Waycross when even Trainz looks better (to stay on topic!) or TSW, it's hard to keep jumping back in. Not to mention the cost of buying all those wagon packs to eliminate the R8 boxcars.
I'm still using TRS2019 on the laptop to attempt a bit of route building, from time to time but can't get motivated like I used to.
I believe it runs better Vern, what do i know. I only pay for the rubbish buddy.
To me the good stuff in Trainz now beats TS2022 (Classic) hands down. Graphically at least, still lots of things that need improving though, realism wise.
Probably right in regards R8 Vern. Some of the pre-loaded saves can be very traffic intense. Agree fair bit of money involved in buying all those R8 packs.
We needed Trainz to be where it is now, 20 years ago. I cannot concentrate on learning new stuff these days and route building is way above my pay grade,
Gimme da massive spanner and da huge hammer. Then i know what i am doing.
