Uuuummmmmmmm sorry Bruce i made such a mess of my install. Putting routes in taking them out, downloading from the DLS. Then deleting them i have started again afresh. Just started putting some payware routes back in, will let you know buddy. No freeware this time, no chasing dependencies.

No Bakersfield Bruce, so it is uninstalled.

I can see the whole lot going, as i only really enjoy the freeware NSW routes.

But they require payware installed that i have no use for.

Well, that's killed it for me, Mike.
I'll stick to R8 for my dose of Mojave.

Yes Bruce, it's rubbish and not extensive enough.

The whole Trainz thing is starting to wear thin now.

            I cannot bring myself to re-install R8.

I’ve been dividing my time between TSW and Run 8 but despite buying that freight stock keep finding myself drawn back to Trans Pennine and either the Class 45 or the DMU which is definitely becoming a favourite. For some reason Run 8 has become a bit choppy whereas TSW is running nice and smooth, apart from the odd loading pause.

Nice one Vern, good that you enjoy them both. The Pennine route is good, but much too short for my tastes.

R8 you know why that is not installed. Both TSW and R8 both ran smoothly here on max settings.

Plus i must say that Trainz 2022, is the same on high and ultra settings, where appropriate.

Trainz used to be so laggy for me and i have had the same pc for years. With the addition of new PSU, 2x new SSD's and new graphics card.

Yeah i sound like Trigger, with the same brush for 20 years.

                    But seriously though i7-4790K @ 4Ghz, 32GB ram DDR3, Nvidia GTX1070 Gaming @ 8GB. Is not a fast machine by any means.

But N3V have done something to optimise the game. Never had it run this well at such high settings, in the past.

That's interesting Mike. I'm not going to pay full price for TS2022, but if it runs better than 19 I may give it a punt once the Steam version gets a price drop.

I have a feeling R8 is choppy because of all those consists that get loaded in with the session I chose. Probably start over and just put the handful of trains in there I actually want. But for all I like the A-Line and Waycross when even Trainz looks better (to stay on topic!) or TSW, it's hard to keep jumping back in. Not to mention the cost of buying all those wagon packs to eliminate the R8 boxcars.

I'm still using TRS2019 on the laptop to attempt a bit of route building, from time to time but can't get motivated like I used to.

                        Yep, Vern.
The more trains/static rolling stock that is in a World then the performance takes a hit, however small.

I believe it runs better Vern, what do i know. I only pay for the rubbish buddy.

To me the good stuff in Trainz now beats TS2022 (Classic) hands down. Graphically at least, still lots of things that need improving though, realism wise.

Probably right in regards R8 Vern. Some of the pre-loaded saves can be very traffic intense. Agree fair bit of money involved in buying all those R8 packs.

We needed Trainz to be where it is now, 20 years ago. I cannot concentrate on learning new stuff these days and route building is way above my pay grade,

Gimme da massive spanner and da huge hammer. Then i know what i am doing.

I think they look okay....we don't see them up in this part of NSW, though. They seem to be mainly down south.
