January 20th, 1963 was just another winter day on the North Shore Line. A front had come through the previous day, dumping copious amounts of snow on the ground. Today the weather had cleared, albeit leaving the temperatures in the -20*F range. Trains ran as normal, with the dense hourly service cutting through the cold and snow. Today however, would be the last for the North Shore Line. Abadonment had been approved the previous June by the ICC, and the railroad would turn the lights out for good at 4:01 AM, January 21st. For now though, trains are operating at capacity as many people take one last ride. A midday Chicago Limited kicks up a trail of snow as it glides through Lake Bluff on the last day.

This is actually one of the lines I bought the game to model. lol
Very nice work, only thing I see "wrong" is the water for Root River is nowhere near brown enough. lol

Not dead yet. Some more scenery has been added, and some new cars!

I'm slowly working up to another "beta release" in the next few months, which should hopefully include scenery on the 7 mile long Mundelein branch. Watch this space...

Don't forget the overhead wire supports and gantries !

            I wonder how Freeware add-ons will work in WIN-10 / DX-12, DTG using UE-4 ?

Thanks Otto! Never fear, I have not forgotten the gantries. The North Shore used some very distinctive catenary towers and trolley supports. I'm simply waiting for modeling of them to be completed. All in good time...
