Sorry for the late reply on this - haven't been on here much. There is a 'tool' on my website that allows a route builder with good technical skills to merge two (or more) routes together regardless of their points of origin.

The 'tool' (bodge-device) was created for my own specific uses but has enough general applicability to have been useful in merging several routes for other people. A user needs to understand how TS routes are constructed from the code end of things, how tiles, textures etc hang together, needs to know some rough VB if they need to tweak it all (code is available) etc. Because my merges were fairly easy I never bothered making it more accurate than half a tile's worth - so the merge points could vary from a few yards up to half a tile - which means that some 'fettling' is required after the merge.

There is a brief set of notes to try to explain the process which is included in the download.

Anyone with the requisite skillset and some time on their hands is welcome to give it a go.

This link might help. I found it a few years ago but never messed with it. My intention is to merge Tennessee Pass with the Raton route. I'm building off the Tennessee Pass route from Minturn up to Dotsero, adding the Moffat line to Glenwood Springs and Joint line down to Pueblo, and running from Pueblo to La Junta for the Santa Fe, and the D&RGW and old C&S line down to Walsenburg. Then extend the D&RGW to La Veta, and the C&S/BN/D&RGW line down to Trinidad (thus the Raton merge). A whole lot of route be sure.http://www.mcs-software.it/rs/MergeRoute_en/index.htm

If you mean merge two routes, then only a few people know how to do it.

I am not one of them. From what i have read, it is possible not only too merge two routes with the same starting coordinates.

But one or two boys, have managed to merge two routes, without matching start positions.

Problem is no-one with the ability to merge routes. Is very keen on sharing the info.
