        Great Photos 😊

Been an age since I posted on these forums, but I can't resist this subject - one of the best UK routes around and still being worked on. If anyone is interested it can be found on the site below where you will find some further gems worth downloading and not just routes.

Train Simulator content creators recreating the Golden Age of UK railways.

Action at Exeter Central leading to the departure of the Down (i.e. away from London Waterloo station) ex Southern Railway ACE or Atlantic Coast Express to Devon & Cornwall. The main portion would go through to Plymouth but carriages would be dropped off, sometimes single ones, to feed further towards the coast in what was an iconic train first run as the ACE in 1927. Destinations such as Ilfracombe, Torrington, Padstow, Bude. Dropped off before Exeter Central would have been carriages for Exmouth, Sidmouth Salisbury and Seaton...

Coming into Exeter St Davids having dropped a lot of height to not much above the River Exe. The lines to the right forming the ex Great Western Railway route to Dawlish, Newton Abbot, Plymouth and ultimately Penzance. As with the ex Southern Railway ACE, serving myriad coastal communities and holiday destinations.

Departing Exeter St Davids - next major stop, Okehampton on the northern flanks of Dartmoor.
