2014 only comes with 3 trains??? no steam???

I am really pissed off. I bought it and there is only 3 trains. and scenarios all suck. I have 2012, but it is weird, because it is not in Steam, it has a launcher and I just play it, without steam. I heard that when you buy 2014 it will just upgrade the old game to it, but it didn't do that with mine. So is there a way for me to put the old trains and rolling stock in 2014 so I can have some steam trains. Figures if I bought 2013, when I install it it will upgrade to 2014 so I would have the 2013 and 2014 engines right? So why buy 2014???

If you had TS2012; why did you purchase 14?

TS2012 will automatically update to 14 when you launch steam with the only exception being that you don't get the new "default" routes and retain the old ones.

As Railworks/TS20xx has always been distributed by Steam I don't understand how you've been running it if it wasn't in your library?

It has it's own launcher and I click play and it plays, no steam no nothing

Where did you "buy" it from?

If it's the kosher programme you need an active Steam account to install and run regardless of whether purchased on DVD or direct download.

Suggest you go back to the seller and double check exactly what they sold you (before condemning the game in such strong terms). If it is a genuine copy of TS2014 then you now get what Dovetail (formerly RSC) decide is default content for that particular edition and nothing else. The earlier routes/assets can be purchased as DLC. If you have an older version of the programme then you get the core updates but not the new content which has to be bought separately.
