Program crashes when I get to a certain area of the route

Whether I drive or fly-over into a certain tile on the route in question (my own creation that I've been working on for several years), the program crashes to desktop once I cross the line into the faulty tile. I have run RW Tools with every diagnostic tool in the program but it reports no errors in files or textures.

I tried to delete all the scenic content on the tile in question and as soon as I hit "delete", the program crashed again. I simply cannot get into the area to remedy whatever is causing the crash.

I would be most grateful for some ideas to try isolating and fixing this problem.

Sometimes I have encountered this. If you are using any custom assets, this could be contributing towards it.

With the scenery tiles, if you know exactly which tile is the offender, you can delete it the Railworks content/routes/(the code for your route)/scenery. This may enable it to load. There must be a rogue asset or something causing the issue, if it's only on this tile.

Do you recall do anything in particular that may have caused this problem in the first place? What is the error message that comes up when the game quits?

Are you using hi-res DEM? This is/was known to crash around lines of latitude though usually only when applying it first time.

Try running in 64bit mode, this will help with possible memory issues.

I usually run it in 64 bit mode. I had no trouble with the area in question for the last two years. After having replaced a piece of track in the offending area, the program suddenly began to crash when I go to the region. It was never a problem before.

The crash report states that I have run out of memory. No way! I've got 32Gb of RAM on the motherboard and my graphics card has 6Gb of onboard RAM.

I tried removing the offending tiles in the Scenery folder. This didn't remedy the situation. I removed the track files for the same. Still, no improvement. Maybe, I temporarily removed the wrong tile file. I'll keep plugging away at it and see what I can accomplish.

        Thank you for the suggestions.

EUREKA! I solved it. The problem was caused by MixMap files. It seems I overloaded the ground with painting; so much so that the sim crashed while trying to display it all. All I needed to do was delete the MixMap Files in the Route folder and all is well.
