Golden Age Developments 1950s/60s Steam era the Dorset Coast phase 1 out now.
For all you British steam fans, a new freeware route from Golden Age Developments featuring the Dorset area in the South of England depicting the 1950s/60s on the Southern Region of British Rail. This is phase 1, you can get it from here, and yes it does need some DLC routes to get it to look authentic for the period, but, it's so worth it.
Thanks for the heads up Steve. Presumably this is different to the Dorset route which I picked up from (I think) the SSS site and I basically gave up on due to the massive number of external downloads needed?
Thanks for the heads up Steve. Personally i would have preferred them to concentrate on their West Of England Mainline route and finish that first. Mike.
It's possible that the other route is being extended by someone else, we have no idea really who these folks are on these websites, it could be a different group of people, or, one guy, I'll just await further announcements regarding WoE, at least we now have 2 nice little layouts to play with.

I honestly couldn't tell you, Vern, do you mean the Southampton to Weymouth route by Trevor Wood? I do have it and it's an excellent route, I have no idea if all these freeware offerings are built by different people, or, the same guy, I'm just thankful that we have several routes for our steam locos to play on from the 1950s/60s, and they are all brilliantly constructed.

Cheerz. Steve.
