Cannot stand cricket, in school me and my best mate. Used to go out as far as we could on the cricket pitch when having to play it. Sit on the grass and talk about the Beatles, Stones etc.

Yes. It's not common yet, but the US is filling up with immigrants from the British west indies and Guiana, and they do play cricket.

    Okay guys…

Very much intended as one of the four suites of cards.

Idiom is a strange thing, “fag” for instance in the UK means a cigarette but has an entirely different connotation in the US. Cricket in the UK is the civilised version of baseball, but in the US it’s a grasshopper!

Back on topic, my system still transporting me around the world. After finishing a run in North West Glasgow, was off to the Wakayama line in Japan!

Actually as an aside, does anyone actually play cricket in the US?

It's another word that means 'shovel' or 'scoop'. What could be wrong with that? We have Steam Engines in the US too!

    TSC Route Randomising

Thought I would start a thread after mentioning it in a Run 8 discussion...

With over 100 routes in TSC it was beginning to get very hard to go in and choose what to play. Unlike TSW, TSC has no Quick Play "lucky dip" feature to pick out a run at random. I looked in vain for a (free) randomiser programme that could be downloaded and installed but all I could see were a few on line utilities, which I didn't really fancy feeding over 100 entries into each time.

So in a light bulb moment, I thought why not assign a pair of routes to each card in a standard 52 playing card pack. Even then a few were left over which went to the Joker pile.

First deal of the card gives you the line with the two routes in it. Second deal, red means you play the next available scenario in the first of the two routes, a black card means you pick the second.

As routes get used up (which could take a long time) routes will be promoted from the Joker pile. Any new routes go into the Joker pile.

Obviously doesn't preclude just firing up a particular route that takes your fancy or something new you bought, but thus far the exercise has generated a fascinating cross section of routes that in many cases I have barely played. So just for fun, here is the list that I drew up:
