There will probably be another Steam sale before long (think last one was in June so maybe September), probably worth waiting for that.Vern.

So it doesn't go to Derby then Vern ? I see it has the two loco's from the Liverpool route, included. Bit of a rip off and the coaching stock livery looks wrong (watched a couple of vids on YT). I will probably buy it for TSW4 though, just for the 4F. Just hope TSW4 allows us to use the loco's as we please. if it does that FS junk will be permanently on goods workings here 😀. No idea of the facination with it. The whole class were very poor and only slightly improved. After they had the GWR Castle in the exchange trials and used ideas from it to improve performance.

With the route editor you might well be able to extend the short trackage. I've managed to pre-order TSW4 as well. Really enjoyed a lot of what 3 had to offer (better than 2 imho which I found more 'janky'). I'm looking forward to seeing Vern's newest route.
Kind regards,

I am keen to have a go but fear the complexity might be too much for my old brain. There’s also the issue of how much in the way of default assets will be available, such as station components, infrastructure items, buildings etc. If it’s not possible to break down individual parts from the existing routes that puts the process firmly in the purview of those who can do 3D modelling, i.e. not me! I mean I can knock together station signs in 3D Canvas but that’s about it. I floundered in the DRS editor mainly due to nodes here, there and everywhere plus no DEM or mapping import, but one thing it did do well is let you set up, albeit identikit stations quickly with built in standard components.
From the other POV, this also leaves Run 8 as the only mainstream train sim product which doesn’t offer its users a route editor or the freedom to create 3rd party loco and rolling stock.Vern.

Thank goodness for the tranquility of this forum. Spent a large part of today trying to post on dtg forum, but i am pretty sure they have nobbled my username. But i did manage to post a few replies. The place is like a fanbois mad house though. Anyone who thinks for themselves and doesn't worship at the alter of dtg. Is immediatly branded a charlatan and a trouble maker.Yma O Hyd

I have requested a refund on my pre-order for this rubbish.

As you see it Mike, but when it comes to running trains I would still take TSW over Trainz any day. Lost count of how many times I uninstalled then reinstalled Trainz but TSW has always stayed on the HD.
Personally still looking forward to TSW4 and the new routes. ECML will be a good place to thrash the classic diesels for a decent run at 80 MPH+.Vern.

I'm looking forward to what the modding and route building community come up with. Example, the ECML with a Deltic layer would be really nice, along with trackage to Newcastle. As to the DTG forums, yeah I agree with Mike. I have no problem with criticism unless it's the umpteenth post by the same numpty on the exact same subject in their Xth thread...it becomes white noise...or more like unappealing screeching. The moderation there is pretty limp tbh.

Vern, i don't even know what LIDAR DEM is. I know what DEM is, as i have imported it into TSC along with GE overlay.
Mind with dumb and dumber on the video, half of it was waffle. Cannot stand the sight or sound of that bloke.
Just hoping that someone who actually knows what they are doing. Creates the promised video tutorials.
Mind i am sure one of them said that it takes up to 12 weeks to create a complete timetable for a route. So that sounds a bit daunting.
