The MML has come along nicely since first release. New management at Skyhook transformed it from a dud into quite the gem. If you run the HST be sure to leave the cab doors open, the Paxman prime mover sounds are great.
Another good UK route is Blackpool to Ormskirk from Just Trains with the infamous Pacer DMU and a very loud Class 47. To get the best from it though, really need the other two classic BR routes - NTP and TVL plus the Class 20 and 31 and Heavy Freight (for Class 40) DLC’s which all layer in.
I quite like the German stuff too, the more you have the more it layers. But avoid the 204 shunting loco and the 187 electric as they were not well made. Although it’s a modern loco and not usually to my taste, the 193 Vectron is very nice.Vern.

So how far does the MML go Vern, does it actually clear the platforms at St Panc 🤣.
The other UK stuff you mention, i own it all. But Blackpool is way to short, so no reason here to re-install buddy.
I have DTG's MML with the workshop extension to Leicester, which is excellent quality (the extension).
I have JT's full MML, so basically in two QD's i can drive the full length of the MML and have more flexibilty in how i want to play the game (TSC).

Oh dear the usual DTG segment of a route, stuck in the middle of nowhere. Must be about 40 miles then is it buddy. Not that i know much outside of my usual GWR\WR sphere. I keep trying to replace that god awful version of Reading with the fly over, in the Padd - Pen JT route. But do not have the skills to join up the deleted pieces of track. Weird as the SouthWestern Expressways Reading JT route has the older version of Reading station and the diesel depot in the correct place.

I'm going to give Skyhook a bunch of credit for continuing to update MML. I love the addition of the aggregate cars and oil cans. Good work, folks. I also picked up JT's Blackpool route and started to work it a bit. So far it's quite nice. Nice change of pace. I'd seen somewhere someone mentioned a signals lighting mod for the UK routes but I've forgotten what it was called, anyway does anyone know if it works on Blackpool? CheersAvidly simming on the rails:

While the current DLC sale is on, I've managed to pick up a few bits to add to the collection. The Fife route is interesting, especially after adding the signal lighting mod, and the general community mod. I like the addition of Fawx's re-worked timetable. Added another Scotrail route, and some German stuff (e.g., the 187 despite it being vilified for having shoddy sounds) to add some more variety to some of the routes. Wallet now securely put away.Avidly simming on the rails:

MentalBahn is ... well... I dunno. Not the least bit interesting? Even with the 218 layered in. Mind you I've only done a paltry few runs on it so take my generalised critique with a large grain of salt.
Oddly enough, and despite the bugginess, I've enjoyed MSB Aschaffenburg-Gemunden. The tutorials semi-function, having completed 1 of 3 loco's (two, the 146 and the Pb2fa, would not complete due to stuck red signals). I believe the 218 is available on this route but only through the DTG policy, not because Maik put it there. Not tried to run it there yet.Avidly simming on the rails:

Strangely enough I quite enjoyed a couple of runs on Maintalbahn last night. The default train is not very good, but I like relatively fast single track routes and using the 218 removes some of the bus service feel of stopping every few km. Quite surprised as I had fully expected to hit the refund button after half an hour… just goes to show!Vern.

Looking forward to the Cathcart remaster, the new 380 and Skyhook's 158 in the upcoming weeks. Still plugging away at the GOBLIN timetable, while also Lubeck, Maintalbahn, and the Koblenz routes.
Other than Tee's Valley, which UK route would you consider best for freight runs? I'm not into switching puzzles though (lol).Avidly simming on the rails:
