I do sincerely apologize asking about the infamous Fully Fueled as my first ever post on any train lovers/sim forum. The internet has been well and truly ravaged forwards and backwards as I have tried finding someone (anyone!) with my specific Fully Fueled issue. Believe me, I've looked for nearly a week! So, here we go...
As TSW2 is my very first train sim I had to do copious amounts of study learning about setting up MUs, learning brakes, DP, etc. So I believe I have all four locos in Fully Fueled properly set up. Hopefully we won't have to re-tread any of that. My issue is thus....
After connecting the rear two locos to the back of the consist (I hope I'm using that term correctly), I then proceed to travel on-foot approx 500 miles to the front two locos (I'm on PS5 so no warping allowed). Now here's where things get weird. Both the lead and trailing loco's engines are silent. It's like the engines' engines are shut down and won't re-start using the cold start sequence. Every few minutes the lead loco will spring to life for a brief few seconds before shutting back down. (And it's not like the sound is glitching off and on, I can audibly hear the engine spin down).
During my last attempt (I think I've done four attempts) I went ahead and drove 5-6 miles with the locos silent and out of nowhere the engine sprung to life and I could hear the engine spin up as I throttled into 4th of 5th gear. Excitedly I hit the external camera button in order to fly back to locos 3 and 4 to see how they were fairing and.....the game crashed. So that's my story. I apologize for all the parenthesis.
