I did the business Vern, UK regional TSW5 free pay £29.99 for WCML South. Plus Preston - Carlisle £32:99

JT Blackpool route i own in TSW4, ran well on the old pc. So i would think JT are on top of things with this new route, Vern.

More likely to be DTG at fault with the core game.

      Thanks, Vern.
I'll hold off on the basis that they may improve the optimisation.

IBM XT i386; 512Kb RAM; 5.25" FDD; 1.4Mb FDD; 5Mb HDD; VGA 256-colour graphics card; AdLib soundcard; DR DOS 6.0; Windows 3.0

JT have smashed this out of the park. Best thing ever in TSW, why the hell can't DTG aspire to this level of excellence.

Instead of all the mediocre garbage they produce. Even Schnauzahpowahz agrees with me 😂.

On my second run, still the odd jitter with the sound but hopefully now the shaders have cached they will get fewer. But yes a fine experience ragging the 87 along, puts a lot of the previous content in the shade. Really need to grab the environment mod and put it back on as both runs so far have had the dynamic weather do its usual almost instant switch to raging tropical thunderstorm. Probably not that inaccurate for driving over Shap!

Got everything on ultra settings, or high depending on the maximum option. No untoward behave, just a tiny stutter every now and again.

I am going to have to try a run with the 40 and blue sky I think!

And definitely get this PC upgraded!

Hahahahahahaha, its still 1975 on my WCML, Vern 🤣.

Amazing route, i like JT's Blackpool route but just a bit short for my tastes.

But this one has it all fair play. Have you seen how far out the towns are detailed to ?

None of the DTG narrow corridor scenery rubbish or the same in R8.

                  Mike.

I was going to see how much of Kendal is there, having lived in the …hole for about 4 months in early 1977. Probably different now but back then outsiders, particularly with Geordie accents, were not welcome. Not to mention being dumped in the grammar school compared to the modern comprehensives I was at in Northampton at the time, was like stepping back to the dark ages. Teachers walking round with gowns on and people getting whacked left right and centre with the cane for minor infractions!
                    Vern.

Can't beat a good whacking Vern Two secondary moderns for me, Milford Haven and Langley. Loads of 6 of the best on the hands and slipper on the behind. No comprehensives in my day buddy. You were originally a Geordie is it Vern. My two fave English regional accents, Georgie and Scouser.

But i digress, this route is what should have been in TSW from day one or this quality of route. Then i probably wouldn't have been so dismissive of the game. Oh for a JT Paddington - Bristol BR Blue (roughly the same length).

                      Mike.

DTG strikes again, dual braked Class 40. Will only allow the consist to move, if Vac Brake Goods or Vac Brake Passenger is selected.

Which considering i am hauling TEA's is a nonsense. Plus my max line speed is set at 45mph, another complete joke.

Route is still brilliant though. Weather closed in while i was waiting in the goods loop at Shap.
