I think it might be time to start doing some learning yourself, rather than the constant demands towards everyone.

Reminds me of the Mickey Mouse patching job CP did on a few of the ex-UP SD90MAC's. 🤣

But really, renumbering a locomotive is really easy. All it takes is using the correct font, font size, and placement of the road numbers.

Have you looked at file ID 73330 (dfltsd40.zip) ?

Please note that this is a replacement for the non-driveable default SD40 (which IS numbered 7171) although the readme specifies that it is an SD40-2.

                Cheers,
                Ged

I wouldn't listen to anything I had to say on renumbering. 😆 Over the years, there has to be a whole bunch of threads on renumbering....do a search.

Seriously --- I just did a search for "renumbering" ( checked the pull down -- search in titles only ) and got 281 hits...I'm sure not all of them are gold, but you gotta do the work required for a new skill...go through the threads --read --- acquire the utility tools/programs recommended and try your hand at it. ["Trail & Error" -- like one of the members in the search posted] It probably is one of the easiest things to do.

Apologies - can't, it's just an image mockup -- concept only, did not touch the model itself.
