Yes finger is hovering over the cancel button for LIRR 2. With the Steam Wallet credit I dropped in there this morning, should give me enough to add the remaining three states to ATS.
DTG have had enough of my money this year, time to spread it around a bit more.
LIRR is a New York commuter route. Original came out a few years back, so they have given it a makeover added a new branch line and new train. But not really worth £24 which was the price with preorder and discount for owning the original. That just paid for Texas and Oklahoma and I threw in Kansas which brings me bang up to date. Thinking the next DLC will probably be Nebraska, just a question of when. I see the skeleton map in game now goes from west to east coast, so ina few years we will be able to go from Miami to Seattle or LA to Boston.

Reason: Replaced Missouri with Oklahoma. Missouri not out yet.
Just wondered what benefits using your own trailer bring to the game and what the best types are to start out with? Not an aspect I’ve delved into previously.
Thought so. Thanks Mike. Also reading up I think there are restrictions in some states as to trailer length so if you get it wrong, keep getting hit with fines. I’ll stick to the normal job market for now.
No worries Vern, i didn't know that about trailer lengths. But i have fines and all that stuff turned off. Just wish i could turn off having to visit weigh stations in both games. Complete waste of time, never been told my load is over weight.
Mike, if you skip a weigh station, don't you get a fine? So if you have fine's disabled, and skip a weigh station, wouldn't your fine be $0, effectively letting you skip the weigh stations?
For me, I don't like the red lights - the weigh station's don't bother me since It's a quick in and out.
Yes you can disable fines but for me that damps the realism a bit. Though it can get a bit annoying when you only just - sorry officer (!) - run a red light and get hit with a penalty.
And of course there are very few roundabouts which I presume is still the case - when we visited for real years ago don't remember encountering one at all. Unlike here in the UK!
Anyhow anticipation for V1.50 and Nebraska seems to be mounting on the official forum, so hopefully not far off. Day One purchase for me. Though got a feeling the grain loading and unloading will only work if you use your own trailer. I need to read up on that a bit more.

I haven't read about grain - will it be animated, like you drive under something and grain falls into your trailer? That'd be pretty neat - nothing like that in ATS today that I'm aware of.

From what I've seen, yes. Ani,ations for both loading and unloading. Presumably somewhat similar to Farming Simulator where a similar game mechanic exists.
Hi Jack, yes i do just skip the weigh stations. But still get the annoying reminder to comply. No fines incurred, that side of things does not interest me.
Grain is animated from what i saw in a video. All trailers should be compliant with the new feature.
