      Texas looks and sounds impressive.

The relationship between trucks and agriculture is something that some people might find trivial, yet it’s important to realize how crucial this cooperation actually is. Gone are now the days of small-scale farming in the backyards since the modern dedicated lands are growing in size rapidly. And what better place to look at as an example of this development than the state of Texas, which has 127 million acres of agricultural land?

Well, I've reinstalled it and have Washington state, Oregon, California and Arizona maps (can't recall what was default and what was DLC).
        Should I add Montana?
(Not sure about the Australia map as I'd need Alaska, apparently.)

Montana is lovely Bruce, worth the money for me anyway.

No you do not need Alaska and Australia together. You can have either buddy. I am running with Alaska on it's own with the main map, at the moment.

Have you seen this other truck game, coming soon buddy. i have it on my Steam wishlist.

Travel across Australia behind the wheel of the mighty Road Train! Haul extreme cargo thousands of miles and explore the Outback’s wilderness in some of the most intense conditions on earth!

Thanks, Mike. I'll potter around with what I have at the moment and add Montana later.

Yep....I've had that Aussie game on my list since it was first advertised.
On Steam, "coming soon" can mean anywhere from tomorrow to infinity.

Top man Bruce as we say in Wales, bendigedig buddy.

Nice one, glad to hear you knew about it. I hope it is a really big expanse of Australia. To drive on and not some cut down map.

Yes buddy, as long as "coming soon". Is before i fall off my perch, no worries.

                  Nearly as realistic as ATS

Alaska North to the future, map mod. My garage at Fairbanks does not have a building, just a marker showing it's location. Had to take the pic of the animated german shep.

Peterbilt 281/351, Prudhoe Bay, heading back to Fairbanks empty. The pickup did say pipe load, but it looks empty to me

Appears Mike, your trucking Co much better off / further along than Martin Bros. Trucking. Your equipment looks to be much more expensive, while my young fleet 3 Petes, 1-Flatbed, 2-Lowboys pretty much low tier. We had plans to start with all green tractors in honor of my brother Donny (rip), sadly white was the cheapest, while easiest to find within the truck lots. The other 2 Petes look the same as this model other than the wheel colors 1 has blue for our male driver, while the other pink rims for our lady driver. I thought would stick out just enough perhaps I'd catch sight of them out on the O'l Highways & Byways. No such luck just yet. We had begun upgrades to the powerplants & tranny's month or so ago, as we pickup grab more of the heavy offerings these days. Didn't go with sleepers right off the back, custom do-dads, wanting to help the sim feel we're just starting out, needing to work our way up the ranks in the trucking business. Our 2 paid drivers are the ones that keep Martin Bros. afloat, while I pick & choose my loads, at times going back to driving other Co. supplied trucks/trailers to break things up. I find myself often grabbing shorter runs perhaps 100-300miles, as, just about all I can stand in one sitting. The 2 hired hands do the bulk of longer dists. Ok enough! "Keep-Em Shiney-Side-Up".

Hi Scott, i cheat buddy. I use a mod that bumps up the amount earned by thousands. Not interested in the business side of the game, just driving. I do not drive any of the default modern trucks, only interested in older rigs Scott. Hence the two Pete 359's i own (both paid for mods) and the 351 above which i found earlier today on a mod site. I also have a Pete 352 cabover, but the sounds are not very good, so i hardly drive it. AI uses it most of the time. You will not see your own trucks\drivers in game Scott, the sim is not set up for it.

I just love ATS and prefer it to ETS2 and it is better value for money, than any of the train games.

Enjoy buddy, get some mods in your set up if you haven't already. Definitely expands on the realism.

                          Mike.

For a time, Mike. I went with mods at the beginning of both ATS & ETS. ETS pretty much fell to the wayside for me, while ATS picked-up. The mods I seem to grab at the time was more for the looks of the world, namely Co. names, Traffic etc. Then at some point believe something changed with the internals of ATS, having to activate/deactivate mods at times, some mods also didn't update along with ATS thus caused reoccurring issues. So, I dropped them all, except the mod for coloring rims at the time. though now, I believe ATS has that feature of their own as paid mod. Anyways, what I have works even though at each startup gives the message a mod may cause issues should you encounter them, to deactivate them.

I do enjoy the WOT (World Of Trucks) contracts, also do have The Truck Book as my logbook, though often don't bother with it these days. For a time I enjoyed using TruckersMP, & VTMLive believe it was called, sadly many young-uns began crashing into everyone, preforming cheats, being most unrealistic, general mayhem, thus I backed away went it alone once again.

Fair enough Sean, everyone must make their own choices buddy

Scott if you install mods manually and then ATS updates to a new full version, say 1.44 to 1.45. Some of the mods get broken and they have to be replaced manually. When the mod author updates them. Not a big deal really buddy. I only play single player and never played WOT contracts. I always thought that MP would have the usual fools, only interested in causing mayhem. As an aside i had a quick look at Run8 MP yesterday on the Depot public server, but there wasn't anybody on there.
