There’s no place like Kansas, and the same rings true in American Truck Simulator! Mark your calendars and get ready to hit the virtual roads, because we're excited to announce that... The Kansas DLC for American Truck Simulator will be released on November 30th, 2023! We're just as excited as you are, and to keep your anticipation high, we've released the official trailer for the Kansas DLC on our official YouTube channel.

Win win then for anyone with isolated states.

At minimum, the sim now has a "fast travel" option that can teleport you. It's supposed to work even if you have a state that's an island, with no other DLC states purchased around it. Of course, the game would be limited to generating jobs just within those state lines for when you're there.

I would say you are correct Nels, particularly as i would assume. That the players headquarters can only be placed, in a state that he or she owns.

EDIT: from Steam discussion................... If you own a standalone state, you'll only be able to do jobs in that area.

I was thinking the same thing too...if you don't have connecting states the sim will probably still generate jobs within the limits of what you have installed.

The western Oklahoma panhandle connects to both New Mexico and Colorado.

This map I found seems to indicate that you'll be able to access the new Oklahoma routes from three existing states:

I am not sure Vern, it is above Texas slightly, so maybe only need the next state to the west (no idea what that is buddy) πŸ˜€

I take it Texas is required to add Oklahoma to the rest of the β€œworld”.

Yep, we had family living about two hours southeast of Oklahoma City, and now drive thru once or twice a year when traveling to visit our son in Texas.
