Lots of delivery points are intermodal yards, so there are trains around. I think I was in Wyoming where one of the delivery points was actually in a rail yard next to a roundhouse. And you quite often run parallel to rail lines or have to wait at crossings so it seems there are lots of possibilities.

Hiya Nels, post 148 above buddy. The last two piccies

There are a couple of BNSF yards i know of, that i have picked up from and delivered too. So there must be others in the game world.

OK, I'm a big truck sim fan too :-)

So, here's a challenge for you: while you're sharing ATS screen shots, how about doing shots that also have trains or railyards in them? There should be quite a few places where this is possible...

Having to do quick jobs again, as my old profile wouldn't load after the update. The truck in the last pic is just plain horrible.

No, the Jake Brake (or engine brake) is a special unique brand if annoying. It's like a Harley Club coming thru town....

Hi Shawn thanks for the info, much appreciated buddy. I only asked because i had never seen the signs in ATS before.

Nothing worse than aircraft noise. When i lived up in England, we were right under one of the main outgoing. Flight paths from Heathrow (London) airport, Concorde was the worse.

    Thanks again.
    Mike.

    Mike,
A lot of small towns in the United States have restricted this for noise complaints. The town I live in has it posted, but some trucks still do it regardless. Some trucks aren't so bad, others are worse and obnoxious, but can't really say much against them compared to the military planes that are usually in and out of the airport at night. (C17 Globemasters and F35's in particular.)

Mexico - Santa Fe. Why would a sign say "engine brake use prohibited" ?

Re-installed ATS, not played it since at least early Dec 2022. Found a beautiful Pete 350 on Steam Workshop.

No, there's no visible damage modelling -- not on the trucks or anything in the environment.

The game looks good if judging by the pictures. I am interested in the question, if you get in an emergency, you can see the mechanical damage on the car?

Yeah I started from scratch with the real economy mod and real gas prices. There are a few of them out there but this one seems interesting thus far. I may have to figure out how to mod these things myself (as I have no idea). If it's just mucking around with text files I have some ideas.

Fueling up really takes away at the bottom line, but so does running in the back of a car. Was able to get my first very basic truck. Paying a daily loan of $600/day while now with a vehicle I'm making on average $3 mile. That brings in about 2 to 3 times the loan cost not counting fuel and damage.

A little more purpose instead of just having everything available to you. Might try switching it out to another more updated mod that deals with the actual current day economy, supply chain shortages.

    Thanks

    Sean
