It is BVE with real-life imagery beyond the cab. Looks nice, but.......
For a start, the viewing angle is skewed. You aren't looking straight down the track but rather a few degrees to the right, which has the effect of you wanting to reach out and straighten up the world!
Secondly, as the train speeds up, so does the vehicular traffic on adjacent streets and so do pedestrians and passengers walking on the platforms. As the train slows down, the reverse effect occurs.
For AUS$14.50 for Early Access (available today) probably okay for those wanting an enhanced BVE or something a little different.IBM XT i386; 512Kb RAM; 5.25" FDD; 1.4Mb FDD; 5Mb HDD; VGA 256-colour graphics card; AdLib soundcard; DR DOS 6.0; Windows 3.0

Exactly the problem with video based programmes, going all the way back to the Ashley Greenup “Cab ViewDriver†series which used old VHS standard Railscene cab rides. You even got the bits where the cameraman had panned left or right to focus on a point of interest or what the driver was doing! I suspect the Japanese clips are more professionally shot, but still about 20 years too late to compete with what we have now in the graphics engine driven sims.Vern.

Well I have given it a go(as it is cheap at the moment) and it is better than I thought. I am not that keen on video based games and have only played this for about 15mins but this one feels good. The sounds are excellent and much better than TSW(in my opinion) and the movement feels right. There are only 2 short routes at the moment but you get an emu and dmu which is good. At the moment there are no system settings in game and you have to fix the fps to 60 to make sure it runs smoothly so had to do that in the Nvidia control panel and make a profile for the game. It is early access and I am sure there is a lot more to come. If you decide to give it a go and hate it at least you can get a refund.—————
