    Went back in for another go yesterday, in the end.
    Had an hour in Lazy LC signalbox which went quite well once I learned the moves.
    Then a reasonable drive later on, quite a few familiar faces on the server I picked until they went out of range.
    I see some more updates have been pushed overnight too, including adding the gradual service brake application to the EU07.
    Good stuff.

      The big one looks to be AI handling much better now. I asked that last night after my run because it appeared smooth for 2 hours after a reboot on a busy server. They responded this morning other than player error causing a backlog (which they are working on) that the AI itself did not appear to have the issues it did.

            Well the SP test should start later today which I'm quite looking forward to. The last change they made to MP was a very invasive activity check which kept popping up even when you're genuinely not needing to do anything or make any control input. If the game decides you're not there anymore it will revert the train or signalbox to AI control. Not been received very well on the official forum. Yes they need to check if a live player has gone off without closing the game or someone has deliberately parked their train up to stop the job, but it shouldn't be going off every 60 seconds.

              I'll post this exact paragraph on their forum.

              It has to be smarter not time based. Trains waiting for signals need to notify boxes, if they don't respond, warn them, if still nothing then kick them. Trains stopped at green signals need to be notified by AI boxes. If they don't respond warn them if still nothing then kick them. Logs would also help nail down sabatoge players.

                The dispatcher concept is what I waited to come in other games yo know.

                      It is actually looking very nice.

                      A real shame though the single player doesn't seem to be arriving this evening unless it unlocks later on. Been looking forward to getting my teeth into a longer run, assuming we can save of course. Maybe there was a last minute hitch.

                        Yes Vern, i like the game engine same one as Diesel Railcar Sim.

                        Not coming then, that is a shame i also was looking forward to SP.

                        Oh well not to worry, might turn up tomorrow buddy.

                          Yeah they announced the release but it hasn't updated yet for some reason. Everyone is freaking out on the SimRail forum. Could you imagine if they said "it will be ready when it's ready". They could go that route but it's not necessarily the most infomrative policy. But still totally at the developer's discretion.

                          What's amazing me right now is this is a big outfit and they seem to be putting the kind of effort similar to Run8 (obviously with a much higher budget to be fair). I'm not sure what is coming next for Run8 and it's been like that for years now and I still support it and look forward to their updates and especially new DLC routes when they come along. But this team is top notch in my opinion especially for a big company.

                            I don't know that it's freaking out, just genuine concern and anticipation for the next stage of this promising sim.

                            Looks like the devs were working flat out on the game which is fair enough and from what I just read over there, something unlocked around midnight UTC but not got an opportunity to investigate further until later on.

                            The full release of SimRail can't come soon enough for me. For my sons dived back into TSW last night and their uber short new German route. Now had two save game failures, the first where the objective and service data failed to reload and the second coming up against the dreaded redout signalling bug. Pile of crock but played over 2 hours since buying the route so no refund.
