From what I'm reading over at the official forum, looks like the idiots have really ruined the MP game now. Was going to suggest they should have vetted more carefully who was allowed on the playtest, but then again maybe it's a good thing it came out now. The question is, what are the devs going to do about it prior to release of the full game?Vern.

MP has been fine in Run8 for years and has helped actually make things more realistic considering all the traffic of such a busy territory.
I'm not sure what solution they are looking for here. They have been very fast in dealing with bugs (which I think is their top priority). It's still likely a sure buy if it's still at $30 in the new year.
Now I have backed off playing it just a bit. Even the busiest boxes are fairly predictable and driving is relatively the same way. That is actually due to as many people running on MP servers. Yet for some reason places like Poland and other servers worldwide seem to be for the most part busy and without issues.
I'm not sure if it's a western culture thing and the west simply inspires idiots or what. Perhaps some of it can be the language barrier as despite some English assistance there are still not as much of a robust understanding of certain things and not everyone will search even an English forum or ask the right questions and simply go in and route whatever they feel like.
Perhaps the people who are holding off as a must buy may be the real power here. The thing is despite having issues in the west as I said The Polish are likely going to flock to this. I don't know if the same issues are happening there but I kind of doubt it.
I have put in for a suggestion on single player worlds like Run8. There is an interesting debate between those that want private servers and those that want it to remain public (hopefully with proper moderation). The debate is that if you have private servers the numbers will dwindle in the public servers. We know from recent experience in other sims that certain groups can become very clique like or simply have it out for certain individuals (I won't elaborate and let others connect the dots on that one). But it's an interesting point. Personally I am for the private route despite this because I feel having better control and rules will help. There will be some servers that WANT to have more people and their rules will be much more leniant to try and please everyone.
It will be interesting to see what happens. For now though they have provided enough good will and intereest in the project to warrant an easy purchase on release to support them. In other words i already got my money's worth in my opinion on a free play test.
Thanks
Sean

Wow and we waited how long for Run8 V3? Anyways no sense arguing with you. Looks like they fix plenty of reported bugs and now a request from others (invalid entries) appears to have been prvented in tonigh't update. Most of their responses comes in the bug forums and they regularly monitor it. Perhaps that is what they are focused on for a playtest that is free for us.
Thanks
