Just re-installed Steam and noticed the bloke hasn't been on Steam for 114 days, in his profile.

So no idea what is going on there Vern. Installed DRS as well, the default routes run ok with the scenery beta installed. 39fps out in the sticks and hovering around 25 - 27 in built up areas. So that is not so bad. I did remember i had DRS (not diesel rail sim) setting in Nvidia set to 2x. Which i believe is some sort of up scaling setting. So i toned it down to 1.20%, so maybe that helped ith the slide show i was getting.

No i said to 44TZL that i would buy the route. Even though i have had access to it from day one. I think it is worth it and also to show appreciation for him creating it.

    Mike.

I can't remember his Steam name sorry buddy. I uninstalled SimRail and Steam yesterday.

The route editor is even more complex now. I had a whinge to Oskari about it, saying it used to be so much simpler.

But he rightly pointed out, that with the new features and functions. It was bound to get more involved.

If it had GE import added. I would so love to do Neyland-Milford-Swansea, as the 120's and 119's are there to be used.

For a change i would genuinely stick at it, to get the job done.

EDIT: Author is 44TZL, down in Australia. Did the route originally for me, when i told him about my mam coming from Abercynon.

    Mike.
Thanks again Mike. Don't mind it being payware if it's good. Sounds like I need to check out the route editor, once I've finished reworking my TSC routes off UKTS.

I think I might like to try that, Mike. What's the best way to contact him?

I just wish the route editor was easier to fathom.

Has to be at my end then Vern, thank you.

Yup could do with cranking it up a bit, especially externally.

Did you ask the bloke who has done Taff Vale, if you could have access ?

That is definitely a route too test your graphics settings on

    Mike.

Just done a couple of short random runs and everything seems to be smooth here, though I didn't look at the framerate. Also I didn't check my graphics settings, maybe still set quite low.

I wish you could get a bit more thrash off the 37 and 40...

Life i suppose Vern. I bought this rig complete in 2007, but the only things left from the original. Are one HDD and the 7.1 Surround Sound audio system and speakers. The rest including new SSD drives x3 Mobo and CPU, GPU, PSU and sys mem have all been updated over the years. But it is still only an i7-4790K @ 4ghz at the heart of the system. Which while not being from the original setup, is now very old.

Hahahahaha, Mrs M would prefer a new telly is it buddy, you will not win

SimRail is Unity Vern, i don't have a slide show with that game. Settings are high here overall. Mind when you see the amount of grass drawn on high settings in DRS. Makes me want to get the mower out and i hate gardening

That's a bit of bad news, though must admit I haven't touched it for ages. However I got the feeling from "the Bus" that Unity might not be the most efficient graphics engine especially when you start adding to it or increasing scenery complexity. Will be interesting to see what happens with Derail Valley when they launch their rejigged "Simulator" update later in the year as that's also built on Unity.

Like you Mike I'm running a bit of an old potato here, been upgraded as far as it can go CPU and GPU. Might have to bite the bullet later in the year and go for a new box, though getting £1200 authorised by SWMBO is the main challenge (new 65" HD TV for you, dear??!).

Yeah he is a top bloke, Bruce. Amazing he has created most of DRS single handed.

My pc is not the best, i know. But it was a bit of a shock, how much the new scenery. Dragged me into the stone age, in pc terms

    Mike.
