Nice one Vern, you heading ever more down the DTG road buddy. Do you have a sound system hooked up to the tv. If not you should be able to tweak the tv onboard sound, to make it even better. My main tv is an LG 55inch, which has all sorts of sound options. Some times it sounds like the movie or youtube sounds are coming from behind me and all around. Just on the internal tv speaker. Spooky sometimes, i hear something, think its the door or external noise. Mute the tv and the noise goes away

Now now, you leave Mrs M have some fun with that Hogwarts game

    Mike.

Strange to relate Mike... We finally got round to buying a PS5 primarily for the missus to play stuff on. However couldn't resist adding TSW3 as it's on sale. Actually quite good, especially on the big 65" screen. Runs smoother than on my potato PC and the sound seems better too. Of course it's sill DTG with all the baggage and gameplay flaws but wife had to pry me off it so she could get a go on some weird Hogwarts RPG!

Yes it is a shame Vern, because they do some good stuff in Eastern Europe. TSW never enters my head these days buddy, unless it gets mentioned on a forum. No interest at all. Run 8 very disappointed the last route, did not join the other SoCal routes. It's Trainz that always draws me back in and i do not have a clue why

After 10 mins on the prologue I'm glad I didn't splash the cash. 4 night shifts tends to rattle ones thought process....

There are plenty of thoughts already in this forum regarding SimRail.

    Hi all,

Back on here (Couldnt get my old profile to work so made a new one) Simrail is catching my eye again as some on the DTG forum are aware I have thrown the towel in with their products. Been spending time in Zusi3 and DRS but this Simrail is something different. Thoughts please before I take the plunge or not....

I only have Trainz Plus on here Vern. But my finger is hovering over the uninstall button. The Ukraine route i posted pics of is nice. But all the sessions are in Ukrainian so no idea what to do. I did try editing the config files for each one by translating into english. They still work, but straight Google translate, doesn't really make much sense. The one i posted piccies of was an AI drive session, so no need to understand the instructions. I quite like the GCR route, but it wasn't created with DEM.

Back on topic i may install Steam and SR in a bit. I find all the operations and having to learn train designations etc, over complicated in Run 8. So i just end up running the mainline, which gets very boring very quickly.

    Mike.

I might have to try that but at the moment engrossed in Run 8. At least they haven't neglected the single player market and you can have as many save games as you like.

ACU is visually complete exterior wise, most of the way on the interior sans animations now..
GP40PH-2 is progressing nicely on the interior with a proper 26-E-1 Automatic Brake valve.

How did the idea to create SimRail come about? What is its phenomenon and will in the future players be able to travel virtually on Lower Silesian railway routes with white and yellow KD trains?

Oh I'm not impatient like some around here who don't see my words. I think it will be great and will only get better. Right now SimRail continues to be the leader in evolving their software this year followed by Railroader that is yet to become available. Run8 actually has had little talk lately of anything. It just so happens their last offering suddenly caught my attention better late than never and it was enough to get me back in.

Railroader can take my money already as far as I'm concerned I would put Run8 to the side if that was available right now. But again patience is needed and it will be available later this year. SimRail will continue to get better so I'm looking forward to that.

I try not to buy stuff I don't like as a practice. Others could learn from that especially when they complain about prices and exchange rates. They expect their demands to suddenly make something happen or else cry when they don't get their way.

I'm just stating probably the obvious that it's a bit repetitive right now, but no complaints as I keep an eye on it's developement and look forward to trying out new towers (I'll pass on SP as it sounds boring) in the near future. As for trains I think I need some shunting or something. As beautiful as the route is, driving passengers though challenging to keep on time can get boring for me.

    Thanks

    Sean
