SimRail DLC And Update Review 22.04.2024

All back up and running. Found a quiet server and grabbed an EN57 for the last few km of a local into Katowice. It actually sounds like an electric train, not the remixed milk float sources that DTG seem to use on their stuff (if you can even hear it).

Only cost me a quid more than the first time Vern. Just had a lovely ride (MP auto pilot) on an ET22, with some hoppers, 1hr 21mins. I haven't seen half of the two diverging routes, so i thought i would go sight seeing. Much prefer the Unity graphics to TSW, the foliage looks much more natural. Developers need to sort out the loco travel motion though. The ET22 just bounces up and down on it's two bogies, front to rear. No sideways sway, which as you know is not realistic buddy. Just needs a mainline diesel now, the modern sparky loco and the Pendelino do not interest me. I will look for you on MP Vern 🤣🤣.

Think I will wait and see if they do a discount in the Steam summer sale. I do like those Polish electrics and looking at the latest TSW roadmap there is nothing other than the DB218 coming out that remotely interests me. And TSC, well I enjoy the steam traction but even that gets a bit samey. Time to reinstall SimRail I think.

Well i re-purchased the Cargo Pack DLC last night and have enjoyed running the ET22 tutorial. Apart from the idiot telling me the same thing over and over again.
But the loco itself is enjoyable to drive. Shame they could not be bothered to add a freight tute using the loco, on the other route.
Also revisited the EN57 EMU, which was fun. Good thing about SimRail is i can set the graphics to pretty much full on and unlike TSW. It does not drag my pc to it's knees.
Always preferred the look of the Unity game engine anyway to UE.

Nice one Vern, he who dares............ 😀😀. You blagged them you mean buddy, hahahahaha.
ATS dlc is probably a better investment, regards value and probable play time.

Good news Mike. Thought I would try and ask for a refund anyway, just came back as agreed. Either played less than I thought or they took the part about not being able to get much use out of the DLC into account. Will lookto buy Texas and Montana for ATS once the funds clear.

Yup uninstalled all of it when i got my refund, Vern. SCS are the polar opposite to DTG. When i see some new DLC for ATS & ETS2, i don't even worry about price. 1. because i know the quality will be there. 2. because they never over charge for their DLC.

Very much off topic sorry Eric. But Vern did you see the new in v1.50 for ETS & ATS animated loading and unloading functions ?
Mike.
Mike.
I will have to check that out re ATS and ETS2, those guys at SCS continually innovate. Wish Run 8 had animated loading for some of the industry. Still need to catch up on my missing ATS States.
