Interesting Mike. I will have to see if I can fire it up and see what the diesel sounds like.

I had a struggle to find an ET25 working a train, most seem to be ET22's now. Eventually found a server with one available, but after stopping and dropping the pantographs and the MCB I couldn't get the diesel to start. Then the bot kicked in and more by chance it actually kicked in diesel mode. Not that impressed when I took over again, sounds very synthesised worse than some of DTG's efforts and speed topped out at around 30 km/h. I hurriedly left and hoped no one noticed I'd been there!Vern.

I had a go on diesel earlier Vern, i posted on SimRail forum about it. I played it in SP though, but was easy to cold start the diesel mode. No i have no idea what prime mover is in the ET25, well it's actually an ET26 and only 7 with the diesel back up were ordered. The rest are ET25's. Hahahahahaha, you sneaked out of the server, "you ain't seen me........right" 🤣🤣.

I caved in and picked this up. Will give it a try a bit later once it finishes downloading and installing. Had watched a couple of Squirrel's videos about the sim which was the final convincing...mind you the fact that neither Vern or Mike are complaining a whole lot about this trainsim says a lot too ^.^
edit: well, I'm absolutely one of the worst drivers in this sim...points deducted for missing whistle boards...late...playing whack-a-mole with the ETCS/AWS buzzer...suddenly entering emergency stop mode while slowing for a speed change...aieee. I need practice. Thank goodness for SP mode. Still tho, it's quite fun!Avidly simming on the rails:
