MIB Fantasy Train Sneak Peek

Here are a few early shots of the MIB Fantasy train that darkfyre and I are working on jointly. It still has a number of things, such as redarkening the windows in the alpha channel and more aliens. There are a number of little treats. It's a reskin of the FGW180, if anyone knows how I can get the eng file altered to go to say.... Light Speed -for myself- could you drop either of us a line? He's gotten it up to 750 mph for me. I want speed!

Nice train! Just a thought though, would you really want to run a train that goes 186,000 miles a second? What's to enjoy about a trip from Washington to Philadelphia that lasts only picoseconds? Don't take me too seriously, I don't. :-)

    Take Care!

LAST EDITED ON May-19-02 AT 09:00PM (EDT)[p]I downloaded the train and played with the eng file but getting the initial acceleration hasn't been working--granted I'm no expert, but the most I've been able to do is at the end of Marias Pass, at Shelby is 1042 mph. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. My Go-Transit F45 on NEC gets to 4000 mph and its a shorter route and has better acceleration, but then its electric. Will keep fiddling with it and if I get it there, will post... Look forward to the release. Very nice looking.

Ok, first don't shout. Second, I didn't read anything regarding modelling. Third, in the initial post I didn't notice one single thing saying they were going to release or upload this engine. People, myself included, repaint engines all the time, if only for themselves. This is perfectly ok, the only time permission is needed, i've noticed, is when someone would like to distribute a repaint to the rest of the community.

Don't take this message the wrong way. I'm just pointing out a few things before people start getting the wrong ideas. I neither condone nor support theft of any kind!

            My Two Cents.

Actually, I happen to know that she has been trying to find an address of Ben Laws the designer of the train as has darkfyre and myself. The train will never be released unless there is permission to, but personal skinning that she did? For her enjoyment, I see nothing wrong with that. She hasn't even given darkfyre or myself the skin and I'd really like to have that skin of the train.

I just looked at the board again, seems that you were addressing me not Dark. Well, if the creator of the train Ben Laws wishes me to remove the Class 180 from my computer then I will. I downloaded it from uktrainsim.com of which I am a member. And if its because I changed the speed on the train or got the wheel number from 1 wheel to the correct 8 wheel for MY personal usage, then again, fine. I have no problem with that at all, the copyright does belong to him. Have a nice day.

                  Hey SHOUTER, ( casingena )

Not quite sure I understand what you are saying here ( so if I am wrong I aplogize )

If Darkrose has downloaded this Train legitimatly, ( Which he has )

HE HAS THE RIGHT TO SKIN IT HOWEVER HE SEE'S FIT.

You have ZERO right to tell him to remove it from his PC

I would enjoy seeing though how you may try to enforce this !!

First post by you & you're already shouting, i would imagine later input to these forums will be interesting to say the least.
