Ads on screen sidebars

When l logged on to Trainsim today, I noticed that the website is now displaying full size ads on the left and right side of the screens. Is this something new or is it related to just my computer? Thanks,

I've got them too.

To me, they are rather distracting. But if they keep the site going and sustainable, I understand. Trainsim.com is important.

This is something we are trying, in order to try and pay the bills around here.

That said, you should not see the sidebar ads after you have logged in. We're trying not to annoy our current users so we have it set up so that only new users and those people not logged in will see the sidebars.

If you are seeing them while logged in, please let me know.

I noticed them. A tad distracting. But, frankly, Nels has got to do what it takes to pay the bills. Hopefully, ads will help.

I can't see them when I'm logged in so it's working as intended in my case. Whatever it takes to pay the bills and keep the site running is fine by me!!

If you're seeing them while logged in, try logging off and then back on -- it may help set the browser cookie correctly. Or just clear cookies and log in again.

As a red blooded heterosexual male my first thought was, "Wow not many of them to the pound (lb)." But it's not really what you expect to see popping up (popping out?) on a train sim forum.

I wonder if they are broadband and include IT support.
