    Experimental Styles Available

For those who are a little tired of the two-tone blue style that's been around for the last 10+ years, there are now a couple experimental versions available in the lower left corner dropdown.
    • Conrail Blue
    • Brunswick Green
    • Tuscan Red
    • Armour Yellow (shown below and very, very yellow...)

You can select them using the style selector near the page footers:

Feel free to use these and provide feedback, especially if you find functionality is impacted. The site's content management system is very finnicky when it comes to styles... not only do they pass the look and feel, but things such as the site navigation and how to render the File Library pages is tied to it as well.

Apologies if I've snubbed your favorite livery. I've yet to dip my toes into a contrasting color scheme, but that's next up on the plate, so please let me know who you'd like to see next up.

If you like what you see here at Trainsim.com, be it the discussions and knowledge in the forums, items saved in our library or the ongoing development of our TSRE Fork, I hope you'll consider a paid membership to help support keeping the site operating.... Thanks!

    Cool!
Tuscan Red works here without a problem. (Chosen because that was the NSW trains' livery back in the 1960s).

Any thoughts of offering a “dark mode” ? Most boards I belong to now have that option. It’s easier on the eyes, especially in the morning :-)

Yes, a dark mode is on the list.

As a programmer, I've never been a big fan of Content Management Systems like vBulletin, but one thing that they got right was their style sheet generator. Creating a dark mode is fairly simple from an existing style sheet.

Just fyi the theme doesn't seem to apply everywhere. If I apply a theme, then click on the Discussions tab, the menus to the right are still in the legacy blue/white scheme.

Yep, I've already fixed that in the armour yellow and I'm working my way backward thru the other templates.

Just curious - who's the new owners - anyone we know?

                Thanks.

                Regards,

Scott, the answer is intentionally vague:

After reading that item I immediately took out a two-year FCM, Eric.
And I echo Scott's words....thank you for your dedication and hard work.
