It's nice to see Eric bringing some fresh ideas to the site. The railroad themed color schemes are a great idea! I imagine many of you noticed my tendency to use New Haven Railroad colors, as that was the road I grew up around, but having options is nice.

May I suggest something else on an individual basis? Create an avatar image for yourself, like the logo Eric has or the photo I have on my posts. Everyone can create their own unique image and should, as it nicely identifies you each time you post. Create an image and they click on "settings" and then "edit avatar" in the list of options.

If you have an idea for an avatar, but don't have the skills, let me know and I'll help out. I enjoy playing around with graphics.

I would like to see the red theme a bit more red and less maroon please.

    Mike.

This one took some digging, but appears to be addressed...

Charles, the reason I kept the FL-9 is because the NH is one of Nels' favorite railroads. I might be paying the bills, but it will always be his site, and that's my daily reminder.

    Eric,

How about a different Loco with the TrainSim logo to match the different color styles? As in a Pennsy GG1 with Tuscan Red.

Eric, can I add my thanks to all those responsible for keeping the site going. I've been here for a while (2005) and have definitely been better for that. I don't think I have ever met another member in person, but I have got to 'know' several remotely.

As a Pennsy person I should probably go for the Tuscan Red, but I'm also a Great Western person (as in 7 foot gauge), so I've split the difference with Brunswick Green which I really like.

Again, thanks for all your efforts and here's to the next 18 years - by which time I'll be a nonogenarian!

I've been using the Boiler Black, too. I like it overall. But some of the menus are hard to read. Such as right now as I'm replying, it's white text on light grey background. The same when I go to my own profile: the About Me section is also white on grey, as are most of the categories on the left. My Activity and Friends seem fine

EDIT--I just realized I have the ability to customize my profile, and was able to change that myself. But it still persists when replying within the forum
