How does one post in the Fo9rums............this new website is garbage;.....searches are a tedious process, Posting a question to the Forum is a nuisance,...old days just used to be a click on a key that openecd the POST field in the category you wanted..............where is it now???? Royal pain in the ass to do a simple thing

Honestly Doug, you sound like a very grumpy, old dog that's sick 'n tired of learning new tricks, did you get up on the wrong side of the kibble bowl today?
I'm sure, giving yourself some time and a little patience that you'll sort it out and be sorted out.

It's not only yourself, but every forum member --- myself included --- that is learning the new software, and getting adjusted to much needed improvements.

For starters --- How does one post in the forums? At the bottom of every topic page is a box that says "Write Something" with a tool/button bar above.

Take a breath and take some time to look around... Respectfully and with regard, Gerry

You're the first person to complain about how to start a topic/post or reply....

There are three options on every page to add a post to a thread:

The bottom of every thread will have this Quick Reply pane available:

        reply-2.png

The top of every thread has this button available:

        reply-1.png

The bottom of every post has this footer:

        reply-3.jpg

Granted, there's no "reply" button there, but you can always Quote and just delete out the quote if you don't want it there...

If you want to create a new thread/topic, there's this at the top of every Forum topic display:

I don't know how much easier it needs to be, but do free to suggest something different.

Just about every request to tweak the site's interface has been fulfilled in the last six months.

Mateus, is your name by any chance related to the Portuguese wine, Mateus Rose?

Yes, Mateus is my last name, but I had nothing to do with Mateus Rose wine, unfortunately!
Best regards, my friend of the other side of the Planet.

Aaah! Well, no point in me ordering a cask of Mateus Rose from you.
                      Cheers, mate.

The only problem I have with the new site is that all the Google links are broken, and you just get sent to a blank search page when you follow a link from Google.

It'll take a while for all the links to catch up. Google does pull down a couple thousand pages a day, and there are over 200,000 threads on the site.
