Understood. I have tried a different approach that works well as long as one knows the name other than the zip filename of whatever is needed.

Everything is currently wildcarded by default because allowing the * character leaves it available to be used maliciously for database attacks. .zip is also stripped out by rule since it's every file in the library.

Thanks Eric. As it is now make more sense. The situation before you rolled back was not very intuitive with only about 12 options to search in. Even now the wildcard search is problematic. If I use a wildcard in the filename such as gn*.zip I would expect to get back a listing of all files beginning with gn. Instead I get a list of all files with gn anywhere in the filename as though I was searching for *gn*.zip

Search categories were being filtered if you had a preferred simulator selected. I just rolled that back to how it was before.

Search categories seems to be a bit short on choices. All are there to see if one does a section browse, but that is a PITA when looking for a single file.

Seems to be fixed now. The change to have a preferred region and simulator went in this morning, but was being overridden in error.

Go to your User Settings, and you'll now have two options that can help make your searching a little easier:

In the File Library if you try to search under the "By Description" tab, nothing comes up.
