RE: Marias Pass 3.1 Multiplayer Session
Naw, that ain't it. I'm to the site just fine. It's getting the bloody thing to load that's the problem. I get these nice background graphics and then the site just sits there, never completing the loading period.
I've tried turning the graphics off in IE as an attempt to get in, but it's endlessly loading a white screen, and Navigator 7.0 just won't finish loading. I think it's mad at me for denying it a cookie.

Try to FTP to ftp.teamspeak.org if you can. Might work in HTTP as well; I'll try to dig the exact URL out for you if I can. You're looking for ts2_client_rc2_2028.exe
I don't even understand this thing---Roger Wilco Mark 1C was a lot easier to use. Yippee skippee.

ftp://ftp.teamspeak.org/releases/ts2...t_rc2_2028.exe
There's the direct link to the file. Now I've got to figure out how to connect this thing, or if I've got that right, if the fellows are testing their server still.

RE: Marias Pass 3.1 Multiplayer Session
Alright, since Teamspeak can do text messages as well *yay* non mic users may also join the fun.
Also, the MSTS start time will be 8am. You can come in at anytime, but sign on to channel FIRST before starting the game to figure out what the time is.

Still room for more of ya!
Any loco/era is fine! If possible, please be sure that your train will not be susceptible to stalling on grades. Also, as dispatchers, we'll do our best to 'navigate' you around troublesome areas such as the West switch on the north track at Cutbank crossover.
As this is the second go at MP3.1 multiplayer, it will be a lot more prototypical and streamlined (we hope to significantly limit the waits for track warrants).
Thanks, let us know your stats, and see you there!

RE: Marias Pass 3.1 Multiplayer Session
If it's going to be more 'prototypical'---gah, that word always seems so out of place---then where would I go to learn syntax and vocabulary for communicating with the dispatch and other relevant people? It bugged me during the last two sessions I've been in that I was basically making that dialogue up as I went along.
Y'know, the whole thing being designed around communication with the dispatcher, and I wasn't even doing it right.
Thanks for doing this, and thanks for your help.

RE: Marias Pass 3.1 Multiplayer Session
LOL! ya, as you could 'hear', I had been too. But we hope to get a copy of a BNSF track warrant up here so you can have the format in front of you, print many copies out, and just "fill-in" the blanks in the track warrant. Here is the kind of dialogue that Brian plans to use:
BNSF Havre West Dispatcher to the RMSX 601 over.
RMSX 601. Go ahead over.
Ready for your warrant over?
Were ready to copy...
alright. Make this Track Warrant 332, Three-Three-Two, May 3rd, 2003, to the RSMX 601. X box 2, proceed from CTC Station Sign Whitefish, to CTC Conkelley, On Main M-A-I-N track 1 O-N-E. X box 4, work between Milepost 1219 and 1208 On Main 1 O-N-E. X box 7, Not in effect until after the arrival of the BNSF 4723 East E-A-S-T, at Whitefish. This warrent has 3 boxes marked, Box 2, 4 and 7 Over
Your read back
Track Warrent 332 is ok'ed at 0925 Knot Nine Two Five, by Dispatcher BEB, Over.
But hey, just remember, the point is not necessarily to get the jargon bang on.. it's to have FUN!!!
EDIT: And this is a learning experience for all of us!
