Long story so be prepared
I just got back from The Shaffer Crawfish Boil which is a local charity/music festival here in Birmingham This year the groups include the village people, edwin mccain, everclear, war and others it is a two day event. anyway it is held in the former frisco railyard downtown which is/was located beside CSX/NS main lines. the New Orleans-Atlanta NS main and the Mobile-Nashville CSX main paralell each other for about twenty blocks through downtown. So for the past four hours i have been listening to live bands on stage and watching NS and CSX freights go by. one funny thing i noticed was just before the village people started a CSX SW-1500 stopped across from the stage and sat there for their whole set. they were in full costume which was pretty neat to see.
