    Yard Work?

Well...There has been a new section of continuous track just lay beside the original track bed just outside of the Woodstock CP Yard.
We left for the cottage for a week, and of course, the track replacing had to happen the week I was gone! DRAT! Now there is a cunk of track with the "J" shaped spikes still on it. This is clearly the old section. BUT, in the yard there are about 15 or so MOW units. I don't now the names or purposes of all of them. I got lots of pictures of em'. The yard is totally cleared out except for these MOW units and 3 hoppers. Maybe the hoppers have ballast in them, or they just have'nt been moved yet. Then When I was taking pics of the MOW units, a SD90/43 MAC (CEFX leaser #137), And 2 SD40's #5576 and #5545. These units came from the west, probably London. It already had about 6 cars, but then coupled to a huge string of cars on one of the longer sidings at the west end of the yard. The consist then left, with about 100 cars, give or take 10.

SO....this leads me to believe that the yard will be worked on this summer. Can anyone back this up with hard information? Thanks!

You mean on my website? Those are older, I have'nt gotten around to resizing the new photos yet. But I did get some more info today. They are replacing ties in the yard, and a few units left to go East, but returned later. More pics, with different units. I'll see if I can upload some tonite.

Well, on our way to Tim Hortons for lunch...(Turkey Bacon Club with a Pecan Tart! =D ) ...We spotted a VERY fast train going through the yard (still being worked on)

It was a GP9u with "Canadian Pacific" on the hood and the "Golden Beaver" underneath the window and numbers. I didn't get the number.
It was pulling a boxcar, and then 3 coaches behind. Maybe HAC could shed some light on this?
