My girlfriend and I have plans on making a trip to Springfield on Saturday weather permitting, So if the weather is good. I look foward to seeing you and any other train forum simmers from here.
One year we had a blizzard on Saturday. I-91 was closed, but we still had over 8000 visitors (usually get over 10,000 on Saturday). I had no trouble on the roads until I got home and found the plows had left a ridge of snow across my driveway. I tried to ram through and got hung up. :-(

WOW...I didnt know there was that many people that went to this show.
BTW, On a normal year, How many layouts and what size (N, HO, ECT) do they normally have at the show. Are we talking close to 50 of them. Most likely, Most of them are club layouts from the New England area.
Anyways, Once we know that we will be coming. I will let you know what I will be wearing, So you can know who I am which will be VERY EASY to spot me from the crowd.
Hah! It's snowing already. We've got over 8 inches and it's still coming down. Let's hope it's gone or at least cleared by Saturday.
They have a LOT Of operating layouts - everything from Z to Big. Most are club layouts. Last year they had the guy who had a Z scale layout in 3 traveling suitcases. It was written up one of the rr modeling mags. They also have a couple of enormous O scale club layouts. They try to see how many cars they can pull - I think it was around 140 one year behind 6 diesels.
