    .s files missing or not

I recently ran Route Riter and it indicated that all of my .s files were missing. Before dialing 911 to report that I was having a panic attack, I decided to check. All .s files were there!! A glitch somewhere. I'm going to reinstall Route Riter to see if that cures it.

The reason I posted this is, I read from time to time about people losing their .s files. Check first. Maybe you are having the same glitch I did.

If there are .s files defined in the .ref file and there are no shapes, or more likely, there are .s files defined in the TSection.dat and you don't ahve all of them, RouteRiter will report them missing. It doesn't matter that they're missing because you're not using them, and RouteRiter is only reporting something that is true, so there's nothing wrong with RR either.

IF MSTS tells you it's missing something when you start up the game, that's when to be concerned. And RouteRiter is very good at helping you correct those problems.

Like most things in life, if MSTS isn't broke - don't fix it.

Hove you set Routeriter to point to the wrong folder by any chance? Try navigating to the correct Train Simulator folder in the left hand pane, and then click on Files/MSTS Path/Select.

Ron, I have already read that post and it is what got me to check before assuming the .s files were or were not missing. Thanks

Alan, Route Riter is pointing to the right directory. Thanks

Robert, MSTS loads just fine, so I figure the .s files are all o.k. Thanks
