Indian loco downloads

Hello everybody.I've been able to learn some basics regarding download of loco files,installation etc. To install a loco CABVIEW and SOUND files are required.I downloaded some Indian loco files(downloaded as zip folders) (eg. WDP4,WDM3A,WDM3D pack in world diesel locomotives section) and none of them have CABVIEW and SOUND directories and they are also not ".exe" files which means that self-installation is not possible and I have to extract them into folders under TRAINS/TRAINSET. For the loco to ACTUALLY work, I need to check CABVIEW and SOUND files rite? The above downloaded folders do not have such directories due to which I need to locate the " 'anything'.cvf" and " 'anything1'.sms" files in the ".eng" file (opened with notepad) of the main loco folder and locate the 'anything' file in the ".eng" file of other locos and copy/paste the entire CABVIEW directory of that loco into the folder of the loco which doesn't have it,as suggested in the following link:

But for the Indian loco that are available in the files section, CABVIEW and SOUND folders are not available and if for a particular loco I have to copy and paste those folders from other locos,it becomes impossible as the other Indian loco also doesn't have it. (eg. for a loco WDM3A, in the ".eng" file, it is given as "wdm2.cvf", I need the WDM2 loco,but I can't copy/paste the folders from the WDM2 folder because the WDM2 itself doesn't have them).So what should I do??? IR fans??? I hope I have made my doubt clear.Pls help.

Hi Gopal,

Have you got indrail.zip those locos use the cab and sounds from the Accela,just copy and paste them into the loco folder,at least you will get some running.

You need the complete set of loco's coaches and stock,from a Indian Site but for the life of me I can't remember it's address,if you do a search on here you you should bring some thing up from other posts.

for other Indian items do a file search both under IR and Indian Railways,they will show up what you need plus make sure you install the other items that show as being needed before down loading,si if it says you need indrail.zip make sure you down load it first.

Make sure you back up every thing otherwise you are going to really screw up MSTS,only do one item at a time,and make sure it works.

Personaly as you've only just got MSTS I think you should learn some of the basics of MSTS,at present you are trying to run before you can walk

This is the starting point for any downloads of Indian content for MSTS. Almost all other uploaders use some content of this site. All the cabviews, sounds, etc are provided here.
Taking inspiration from Ronaldus, many people like me have also created Indian content. My own engines have some different cabviews and sounds. All are avlble in the file library. Search for "India" or "Indian" and you'll find some.

Hey guys, I could successfully download,install and drive a few locos on MSTS. I have a doubt regarding Indian loco WDM2. Where can I find the original cabview and sounds folders for this loco?

You just have to search "India" in the download section of the F/L, even though it shows some extra files than you wish.
