    Probably way out of line here, maybe even forbidden. If so and this post is immediately deleted I will understand but...

    Why did BINGeorge suddenly disappear? Did he get a "Cease and Desist" message froM $omeone or what? He was fixing so much and the original producers, who had already stopped support were embarassed, jealous, or greedy? Greedy - Hah! If they gave a hoot they would have jumped in to find fixes and support the community which existed by then, even asking George for help and, HOLY COW!, sharing some revenue. No wonder Microsoft stock is anathema on Wall Street anymore. What a bunch of idiot losers.

    Kuju were commissioned by M$ to write MSTS.
    MSTS was written by 14 school leavers, employed by Kuju in England.

    Kuju ran out of money and M$ would not pay any more.

          My personal theory is he was pestered too much by one particular community member.

          We'll probably never know for sure, even if you write him and ask him.

            I have been working with Juri / George since day-1 of MSTSBin and have rewarded him financially with donations whenever he did something I have asked him to do, the same as I am doing with Mike Simpson and others.

            When his computer crashed I then organized a PayPal collection so that he can buy himself a new one.

            My involvement in the creation of MSTSBin is there for all to read and am supporting it from my web site with out of the box Master installers of it and a better English manual, George appreciated, his English not being that good !

            Me doing that he did not receive any direct remuneration for reverse-engineering and hacking the binary MSTS code, Microsoft were happy with him doing, creating more sales from ATARI to start with and it is still being sold to this very day.

            Matt Peddlesden of UK-Trainsim who provided him with his MSTSBin web site and some of use were trying to have Microsoft give him the source code of MSTS, we were even prepared to make them an offer for, which started off well but then petered out.

            Him spending most of his time working on MSTSBin then caused him to have severe health problems and his marriage to end in divorce.

            I have been in touch with him to get him interested in ORTS but he is in no mood to do anymore with train simulators or computers.

            Some members who have a habit of making insinuations or veiled references should watch it, the moderators being notified and have enough on their hands controlling what is being posted in these forums which is not beneficial to it's members !

              I was in contact with Rick Selby at the time and he told me that Microsoft had no problem with the BIN project.It is a pity they would not release the source code as I am sure even more improvements would have been made.

                Yes Peter, you were one of the group which tried to get M$ to give the source code to George and actually wrote to them then.

                  Maybe someone should ask them about it again. The older the game is, the less sales it generates, the more likely it is that Microsoft will actually give it to the community.

                      Do not threaten me, Otto. You can take your own advice since you have no idea who or what I was talking about. My statement identifies nobody. But if, in all your glory, you wish to believe it's you then by all means do so, as the idea greatly amuses me. My personal beliefs will stand until hard evidence to the contrary negates them.

                      I don't think it will ever happen, but if the source code were procured then "George" would become irrelevant. What George did for MSTS is fantastic because he didn't have the source code. The list of people who could do that in the short amount of time he did is indeed pretty short. But there are a lot of people who could revolutionize MSTS if its source code were to be released.

                          That's because it was directed at me. I'm the only one who posted anything in this thread that could be construed as an insinuation, albeit impersonal.

                          I don't need to calm down, I need to go away. Permanently. Very soon. Then, the way I think things should be won't matter!
