    Registry Problem

I have installed MSTS in Windows 7 Home Premium for the first time. Can't find entry for Ms Games
or Trainsim in Registry, although it operates OK. ( I want to alter RE Window for one thing), Installed outside Program Files as advised in Tutorial. Perhaps it needs to be in Prog File ? The title "86" may be relevant. Any ideas, Thanks, Charldee.

      Registry Problem

Thanks, but the HWRenderer I find seems to be on the wrong tree,(under Classes), and values have no effect on RE window.
Another MS GAMEs.< Trainsim > has appeared in the normal place ( under Microsoft as in XP) but branches to a 1.0 only, no HWRenderer !!!
I might go back to Windows XP, it was easier. With a new high speed PC and all sliders up, I get a worse resolution than a 7 yr old
machine, but top FPS. regards, Charldee.

In WIN-7 64-bit it is here:

        HKEY_Local_Machine
        Software
        Wow6432Node
        Microsoft
        Microsoft Games
        Train Simulator

In WIN-XP SP3 it is here:

        HKEY_Local_Machine
        Software
        Microsoft
        Microsoft Games
        Train Simulator

You will find an entry under Classes, but that is in the VirtualStore. Otto has the right location in his post above.

Sorry, it may be the right location, but changing the 3 ( main window) values has no effect on RE. i have tried values from 0 to 1200,
it stays on the default size. there must be some new trick involved. always worked in XP. Thanks, I,ll have to live with it or revert
            to XP, Charldee.
