    Another Train store problem

I have the 6 original routes plus Rollins Pass, Silverton, and PO&N routes installed. When I use Train Store to store the 2 Europe and the 2 Japan Routes Rollins Pass and Silverton don't show up. Train store is removing all the paths in these 2 routes even though I don't have them checked to store. I also get a message about not having a path. Why is Train Store storing these paths. I don't have anything checked in Train Store other then clicking on those 4 routes and saying to store them and then click "GO".

Are the other routes you want checked for UNSTORE?

Yes, I only checked the 2 Europe and 2 Japan routes to store.

What happens when you run in easy mode?

Train Store will normally "store" any paths that are not being used by an activity. If you don't have any activities unstored you will not have any paths unstored. One way to get the paths you want unstored is to, in classic simulation mode, set up a list of explore mode paths you want unstored for each route. See pg 15 of the excellent manual that comes with Train Store.

I must not be getting this right. Everything is unstored and everything works in Train Simulator. I start up Train Store. I am in Classic Train Store. I click on the 4 routes I want to store and click on the store selected routes after each one. Nothing else is checked and I then click "GO". This error message then comes up "Report/Error/Warning List

            Error: - Item No. 1
There is NO driveable Path left 'In Use' for this Route.
MSTS will not display this Route in the Route & Activity Selection screen.
            Route: 'D&SL Moffat Road'
            Folder: 'Routes\Rollins Pass'"

I go into the paths folder for Rollins Pass and Silverton and they are empty and they don't show up in TS. The activities are still there but the path folder is empty. I didn't even click on these routes in Train Store. I guess I don't quite understand what I am supposed to do according to the manual for these not to be moved.

            Thank you for your patience.

Try unstoring a single activity for the route. Right click the activity and select unstore this activity only. This should store (in classic simulation mode) all routes and activities except the activity you selected and its route.

That's the right idea. What I do is click on "Routes" at the top of the tree and then click the button "Store selected routes". Click GO and ignore all the warnings, just let TS do its thing. It will store everything (paths, services, activities, consists). any other variables in your MSTS installation. This should clear any conflicts you may be having. When that finishes look for the activity or activities you wish to use, highlight them, click UNSTORE and click GO again to unstore just those acts and their associated rolling stock, paths, services, etc. Do not unstore more than 2 or 3 activities at one time, as that would defeat the purpose of Train Store. I've done this many times and it helps. This is not Gospel, just my take on TS which works for me. Hopefully you too.
