    www.simulatorTRAIN.com

    I stumbled upon this website:

when some images from it came up in a google search for gondola cars.

It appears it is simply a big file repository of files stolen off of trainsim.com. A couple of my files are up there (but not all) and I did not upload them. An awful lot from Mark Giltz.

Far as I could tell in a brief perusal it offers nothing unique - everything I saw was a duplicate of trainsim.com.

Found this a few weeks ago, nice there is no contact link to tell the website owner to remove the stolen material.

Apparently you can contact them via facebook. https://www.facebook.com/simulatortrain

I already spoken to them to have my files removed, as I never recieved an email request, nor did I give written permission. Anyone here can easily notice in the readme's that is states trainsim.com or bclw only.

I guess you either need to join FB or ask someone who is on FB to request the files removal as your proxy...
If you like what you see here at Trainsim.com, be it the discussions and knowledge in the forums, items saved in our library or the ongoing development of our TSRE Fork, I hope you'll consider a paid membership to help support keeping the site operating.... Thanks!

If someone wishes to not have FB, I, or someone, can simply send a message to the group informing that they need to take down said files.

                  Hi Shawn,

If you would. I have no problem with others distributing my stuff when asked, but they never did. You might suggest to them to add a real e-mail link so people don't have to deal with Facebook if they don't want to.

                  Thanks!

                    From late night TV:
They say that 30% of the United States population has never used Facebook. Do you know what these people are called?

Looks like nothing more than a site rip from here. Why would someone bother to rip here? Odd to say the least.

I found this a few weeks ago myself, with a lot of my stuff on there. I don't see anything that requires a monetary transaction so I'm not too worried about it. My creations are for enjoyment, and I would gladly give it to anyone who wanted it. Good luck guys...

..... I always worry that a rational individual will not spend the effort, time and/or money for an effort like this without some expectation of a return. That is a thought that tells me to stay away and not download ANYTHING from the site. - Mike .....

I expect it is designed to lure visitors to it's advertisements (which are many). They must have done something to attract google search results because it keeps coming up when I search for various types of rail equipment, especially images.

I can see what I can do Paul, Honestly, not even sure if they removed my content yet or not, haven't been online much lately.

That is what I am thinking. Really a shame honestly. I just checked the site, and there is even more stuff added, my files haven't been removed. The page on facebook has changed their settings so you can't message them or post on their wall. I guess they ticked off a lot of people. *shrugs*

Well, I know a few people that have facebook, and are still pretty productive in their lives, including myself. So I'm sure this is just your own thoughts on the matter.
