Can't Select track section..adjacent piece not loaded...
Right in middle of a section that was previously loaded..... missing section doesn't show in sim....old problem I know Jim Ward (sniper) dealt with years ago.... the path and works with activities but one curved section (not crossing a blue tile line) doesn't not load.... so
it is not visible in the Editor.... any help appreciated.
On the The Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor there is a Tablet. On it is written: "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
the wretched refuse of your teeming shore, send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Joe : If a track piece fails to "materialize" in Route Editor, itself, this can be caused by sudden "jump" into a Tile, or navigating very fast . The Sim ( in Route Editor ... ), seems to forget to deploy odds bits and pieces, and one needs not to panic over those .
If a track piece fails to "materialize" (in RE ), note if the TDB ( white ) lines still show, and if they do, you should be okay .
Best, then , to jump out of the Tile, and attempt jumping back in, letting RE plenty of time to "deploy" everything it has to .
Now, Joe, InGame, you did not mention if the SIM triggers those "shape fail to load , Continue? " type of error messages . Does the Ingame activity "stalls" , when reaching the supposedly missing ( curved ) track piece ?
As you can see , there are a number of things to verify, first , before even considering taking any "repair" or "fix" type of action ( involving the track piece itself ) . For all that I know, you may ( hopefully ...) be dealing with an MSTS "quirk", much more than dealing with a potentially broken track database .
Jean...thanks for reply... I closed the RE and reentered several times.... piece(s) still does not appear. TDB lines are in tact and unbroken. Trains cross through the paths with no problem.... the track piece(s) simply does not appear. I could erase all from the world tile and start over but that would simply give me overlapping TDB lines at that point. Any clarification appreciated before I go back to an earlier saved version w/o that branch installed and redo it. Thanks. jc
Never had luck with that Otto. I will try it but I'm thinking of just going back to a clean version w/o that branch and redoing the whole section. Trains in the Activity work fine and do not derail.
Or just do it the easy way: Replace the track.tdb with the one from your latest backup, then go through and touch every piece that you've laid since that backup to restore the track database.
TriStates ... including Erie main line and suburban branches in Jersey City area. Yes ... working in
Editor but not a problem with interactives (RIT or TIT) at all.
