    opening Ace. files or looking at them.

    I need to look at some Ace. files to repaint or what ever.
    Right now thy are just blank when looking at them .

    You'll need TGATool2. It comes with the route riter package. Have no idea what the latest version of RR is and if you can download it from anywhere. I'm solely into TS2022, but I still recall my MSTS days.

          Another way, if you want to view/edit textures, is to use the texture export function in Shapeviewer.
          View/Textures/Export TGA/BMP.
          This way you can open them in in your image editing software and have a closer view or just go ahead and edit them.
          When you're done just save as a .dds, PaintDotNet does this natively, or save and use AceIt to convert to .ace being mindfull of transparencies.
          .dds textures only work in OpenRails with the "use .dds textures" check box checked.
          I do this without thinking about it so I could have missed something.
